Deja Vu at SFGAm NOT open!!

ok, if you read the back of your ticket, or season pass, it says certain rides may NOT be open due to weather conditions...so stop your complaining and go back some other time.  if not, we, the employees, of SFGA dont wanna hear your whining.!!!!
Sorry guys I know why it closed but I cant tell you what exacatly went wrong with it.  V2 I have no idea why it wasnt open at all.

I though V2 has been down for a week now or something.  Something about a power surge, or power outage or something?  I know these rides rely heavily on computers, maybe something got fried?  Just a guess.
While it's really unfortunate that the ride had issues today and people didn't get to enjoy it I think a couple of things need to be pointed out as well.

Any park you go to at any point in the year can have problems with a ride, you are never really garunteed that when you go to a park every single ride will be open. I have yet to go to SFGam a day in my life where every single ride was operating at 100% all day long. It happens, and the rides get fixed or conditions to operate the ride improve.

And as far as the whole advertising thing goes.. does anyone actually believe that Six Flags would have put all the time and money into advertising the ride if they knew it wasn't going to open? If so, are you insane?

You're all angry and frustrated at Six Flags, but take a moment and think about how angry Six Flags most likely has been this season about the whole situation.

The reason you all are angry is because Six Flags probably won't make an attempt to reimburse all you of individually in some form. While I agree that this is something they could work on (listening to the public in general), I also have sympathy for the whole situation they are in right now.

As someone who loves parks in general, I wouldn't wish it on any park regardless of who owns and runs it.

Too cold my ***, just typical Six Flags BS. And V2 is down because a power surge caused a few computer boards to brake down and they have it on order and waiting to get the computer on line. And acer just admit why its down not give the typical SF BS that U can't say anything, you are pratically anonomys on this forum. The Attorny General Jim Ryan is VERY aware of this and he is ready to do something if it doesn't open soon.

Hey Neil it hasn't really opened yet, so i don't think anybody has rode it just yet.

Jack. I deleted the other posts for obvious reasons. Please stay out of it. I think Neil was asking this because the people that were invited to media day got the chance to ride it and possibly some of them are members here.

"The Peoples Elbow" or "The Spinaroonie?. Cant decide which is the most electrifying move in sports entertainment!!! LOL
Personally, I think SFGAm would have been happier if they left it closed until next year, but with the Illinois Atty. General on their backs about false advertising earlier in the season on the "two new coasters" campaign, they HAD to open it now, even if weather kept them from being able to run it for the remainder of the season.

It not running because it isn't ready is their fault...it not  running because of weather is not...

You crying SOB'S.

Did it ever occur to you that they didn't want to open a coaster in those harsh conditions-- simply because the coaster had never operated with the GP before?

Stop your whining....it isn't like it's the parks fault they closed the ride-- I am sure they spent all week in secret meetings thinking of ways to tick off their guests.

You all need to chill out.

Skywhirl, no doubt some of my early comments were irrational and written before I cooled off a bit.  It's a great park, but the old rides are too familiar to merit a special trip on Saturday evening (Didn't get to the park til 6), especially a solo trip, which was the case yesterday. I will admit that I was surprised how dead the park was (No frightfest pun intended).

Blink3020, what is this "I know but I can't say" stuff?  Is the Six Flags mafia going to come to your home and cause your car to explode when you turn the ignition if you post the reason here?

Here is some slightly good news. I'm not sure whether Deja Vu opened today but I figure it didn't since it was just as cold as yesterday. The forecast for Monday has increased to 65 degrees. I would expect it to open tomorrow, but you never know.

Zach

It opened, at 1 PM.
I will confirm what Sky Whirl said. It opened today. Lets move to the new topic.
