Deja Vu @ SFoG

The guy at www.sfogeorgia.com has pics but needs a way to show you idiots that this is true. Maybe you should ride to Atlanta, go to Six Flags, spend $8 dollars to see a piece of junk in the parking lot. Well I know I won't and if you are that interested in proof then you do that because what happens in my area is my business. I am going to be one of the first to ride it, just like I was on Acrophobia. It doesn't bother me about proving it to you. I believe this forum was for informing people on the accident and not for people taking up space second guessing it.

Who is wasting space? Your 50 (ok, not 50) responces when it could be put into one... Most of your stuff is right, why would the media report about a malfunction on a dark ride, or a noise that something made? They report on major things, and I'd say a mangled train for a brand new ride at a popular theme park is big. Anyways, the media loves to make everyone look bad, so I bet they would blow it up even moreso than it really is (like 20/20 always does, or Dateline, or anything like that. Thats why I say the media loves to make everyone/thing look bad.)

Oh, and I didn't find pics of it at that website. I still don't belive this.

Really, why not? :)
(I'm still waiting on my train to arrive from Vekoma. And my Vekcola and large fries. Their overnight train delivery has dissapointed me. Have you gotten your's yet?)

Hey idiot I never said that website had pics, I just said he took pictures and needs a way to show them. Maybe you should e-mail him and have him send you a picture of the accident. Plus you need to learn the wonders of a spell check.

And another thing, Atlanta news sources have so many murders, kidnappings, and rape incidents to report that they don't have the time and don't care about a theme park that only reaches capacity one day a week. See Atlanta doesn't treat SFoG like a crown jewel, they treat it like a place to go stare at their fellow college students. The park has gone downhill, and they are trying to get more families to come back. Currently the Atlanta news could not give a rat's *** about SFoG. Plus, if you want evidence, why don't you just call Fox5, 11 alive, or Channel 2 Action News and get them to go investigate this story instead of trying to get your Georgian "minions" to get you pictures so you can be proved wrong.

I hope this didn't happen. It will certainly make riding the Deja Vu(s) alot "scarier."

The one thing I can't believe the most is how mean all you guys are to eachother! Getting so pissed off and calling eachother idiots and stuff is not cool and a waste of space. I'm not into censorship in any way, but come on guys! Have some respect for eachother. This is supposed to be a fun thing. If they don't believe whether something happened or not, who cares!

And we're not all perfekt! Who cares boutta few mispelled words :>

Ow! My lap bar IS down all the way.
No, I still don't have my Vekcola or fries! I think I might call them and complain. While I'm at it, I think I'm going to write them an e-mail asking if they know anything about it.

Earlier today I was at the Vekoma website. They said they have a spare-parts warehouse in the Netherlands. How could this "spare" train (or train parts) have gotten to Georgia yet? If they can get that there that fast, why am I still waiting for my Vekcola and fries!?

Oh, I also am offended by you calling me an idiot. Stop saying that. I am not being an idiot, I am just bringing up valid points.

Well think about it. If you ran Sfog, wouldn't you get an extra train to put into the warehouse for parts and situations like this. You know that the other parks aren't even testing yet. They may have been using this Deja-Vu as their test dummy before trying the others. That would explain why an extra train was right there at the park waiting. I am just trying to show you guys my side of the story. I am sorry for offending you but why can't y'all just believe me for one time. I know this is true.

Sure, I bet they were expecting a major accident to happen, so they ordered two trains! If they had two trains, that would mean they were expecting something to go very, very wrong. Why would ANYONE, I mean ANYONE, buy something when they expect it to fail?

Well maybe Sfog didn't order the second train, maybe Vekoma's construction workers ordered it because of something they may have been suspicious about. Then if nothing went wrong, you have plenty of parts to put into the warehouse for the yearly overhaul of the ride. You have got to remember that Sfog didn't specifically order this ride. They just agreed to getting it as part of a deal with Vekoma to bring 3 Deja-Vus to Six Flags parks that deserved it. As far as we know part of the deal may have been to use the sfog one as the "test dummy". Of course I am just guessing at this. They just paid for it and left it in the hands of Vekoma. I just made and e-mail to vekoma that made them think I was a park owner concerned with what happened at Sfog and I asked them to reply and tell me what happened so that I may consider buying from Vekoma. Maybe their e-mail will shed some light.

Someone please close this thread, it's turning into big time noise. If your so sure it happened, submit it to the news section. But going back and forth when you have no proof is just a waste of time. Time will either prove you correct, or a liar, either way, who the heck cares? As long as they have it running safety by opening day. For those who are scared away by this, great! leave the line shorter for the rest of us. Enough!

Wait, I am under this impression that Jeff has given me. I thought that there are no multi-coaster deals with companies. Let me guess, he was wrong, and Cedar Fair has just made a 5 coaster deal with B&M... Cedar Fair is going to make thier 5 worst parks get a Mantis clone to make them better...

By submiting this topic to news, it doesn't mean it will not be a rumor but it will be news. It still can be shown up as a rumor, or just thrown in the trash! *** This post was edited by TrBiggar on 5/27/2001. ***
Well you kept saying make it a news topic and I did. This will no longer be a rumor. I will try to get your pics when I go Tuesday if the parts are still there.
