Deja Vu - Who has ridden all three?

So DV at MM is open now? That's news.

How's that news? That one is open more often than the other two combined.

RB.....I'm pretty sure someone from Vekoma or SF has ridden all four in an effort to determine why they *ever* wasted SO much time and effort in the first place....;)

sorry, couldn't resist.....these things just DEFINE "more trouble than they're worth"....and I should know, since it's been said about ME so often...;)

Gator, this is a sensitive subject at the moment.

I have heard more than one source indicate that this coaster has run its final lap at SFGAm and will be removed in the offseason.

In my opinion, this is the most "thrilling" ride at the park. Not the "best" (Raging Bull), but the most thrilling. The vertical climb is the only "frightening" moment in the park for me. How often has a park had to rip out one of its top two or three rides after only operating around 50-60 days in three years?

I'm a little ticked off. It would have been nice if the park indicated somewhere to its season pass holders that the ride would be SBNO, if they knew it before the season opened. For me, it might have influenced my decision to buy a pass. Since, for me, the park essentially consists of about 5 or 6 coasters that are really worth riding, the value of the pass is reduced by approximately 20% without DV.

Valleyfair issued a press release regarding Steel Venom's failure. I think it would be nice if Six Flags brought its best customers out of the dark with regard to this attraction.

Unless the DV's (and Stuntfall) trains launch off the track in true RCT style and blow up in mid air, I highly doubt that removal is looming.

I'm not an enthusiast. I just play one on message boards.

I agree with Kevin... Deja Vu's SBNO status reduces the value of the season pass. It definitely influenced my decision not to buy one this season. I will probably visit SFGAm only one more time this year if Deja Vu remains closed, and I don't have any plans to visit any other Six Flags parks until 2004. I also agree that it is the most "thrilling" ride in the park, but not the best (my pick for best would be Raging Bull as well).

I sure hope those sources are wrong...

I've been ultra lucky where DVs are concerned. I've made exactly one trip each to SFGam and SFoG and gotten to ride both of those models. I'll see if I can bring my DV healing power to SFMM sometime this summer ;)

Just to let you know, today, 5/26/03 at 1:35pm, SFoG's Deja Vu began load tests with dummies. It ran 50 min during the day, during all this with no problems what so ever. Looks like a Thursday or Friday opening may be possible.

Thanks Chris. Good to hear (even if our version at SFGAm has yet to show any signs of life).

They may be waiting to see if the dramatic changes our mechanics did to the engineering of our trains works so they can then do it to yours...

BTW, with all the changes done to it, this ride I would have to say operates at about half the previous noise it used to make. Its quite a quiet ride now. The train also seems to not rattle as it used to...
