Decisions, Decisions...

I will be making a trip to Ohio next month. For sure I will be hitting PKI and CP. My question is what do you folks think would be the best 3rd park to hit?? Right now I am leaning towards Michigan Adventures for Shivering Timbers, but SFO would be good too. I would like to do them all, but 3 parks is already streching my budget to the limit.

Wathca' think?

Well, a couple hours to the west of PKI is Holiday World, a great little park with two awesome woodies in the Legend and the Raven (IMHO, both are better than any ride at either PKI or SFO, although I have not been on SOB). HW is cheaper than SFO, with free parking, free soft drinks all day, and has the friendliest employees you'll ever see. Shivering Timbers is great, but other than that, I found MA a little lacking - and it is WAY out of the way.

I will already be in Ft. Wayne Indiana (which is why I am thinking about MA and CP) for 4 days and in the Cincinatti area for 5 days(PKI). All the while I will be visiting family & friends. I am not sure how many chances I will get to persue my new found passion, coasters.

Thanks for the tip about Holiday World, I forgot about that one.

Not to confuse things further, but a few hours west of Fort Wayne on highway 24 is Indiana Beach (in Monticello, IN), which has a couple fun coasters, and is a wonderful little boardwalk/resort-style park. I wouldn't recommend it over HW, and if it's just coasters you're after it's not the greatest, but if you're driving right past it ...
