Death of the white woodies?

Not only does treated wood make it unnecessary to paint a woodie, it also makes it difficult. The salts that are added to the wood in treating make it difficult to get paint to adhere to the wood.

I think it costs too much to keep painting them. That's the most likely reason.

If it's too expensive, why don't they strip the paint off coasters that are already white? Still, I see the point. But damn! I LOVE white coasters!
