DDR tourney at coaster solace

This is a bit off topic I know but I was playing DDR earlier this afternoon at my regular arcade(fourth mix plus and extreme) and having such a good time that I was thinkinkg it could be fun to have a little low key just for fun tourney at the coaster solace since so many peoole around here play it. I think they have the seventh and the fifth mix at knotts but I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

I think that's a great idea! The more people playing DDR the fewer in line to ride ;) Robb Alvey and his clan are really into it...you should definitely ask them to participate.

Good if anyone would be interested in something like that just shoot me an e-mail and if I get enough people I could probably organize something. Maybe sort it by skill level so someone who is an expert doesn't unfairly blow away someone who is just starting.

I'm almost positive that out of the 4 machines Knott's has, all of them are 3rd mix.

Hey, why not meet at 10pm, and have the finals around 12 mid. ;)

I haven't been to knotts in ages, but yeah sounds like a cool idea. :)

Most of them were DDR 3rd Mix Korean machines when I was at Coaster Solace last year, though I don't remember if they are v1.0 or v2.0.

Those machines have other Korean pop songs (e.g., "Shock", "Gimmie Gimmie") and a few different songs ("Starian" immediately comes to mind) that aren't found on a Japanese 3rd Mix machine.

Another determining characteristic of those machines is that many of the Korean pop songs that are also found on a Japanese 3rd Mix machine (e.g., Ba Kkwo, Bu Dam) are written in Korean characters.

The 2nd Mix codes, SSR (Maniac) codes, and arrow codes (Vivid, Hidden, Sudden, Shuffle) all work the same, though.
