DDR Music CD's?

Are there any DDR cd's out there that have the music from DDR compiled on them?

there are, but you need to look really hard to find them, ebay's gonna be you're best bet.

BTW: most of them are of older mixes, 2nd, 3rd, possibly 4th.

It's real hard getting those CD's, especially official ones. I'm still trying to get the arcade mechanic to give me and old 7th mix CD, but....no such luck ^^;;

Head over to Ebay and seach under dance dance revolution...you'll find lots of OST's there...

I have most all of the mixes converted to mp3's and have filled an entire cd with them. It annoys my fiance when I listen to it in the car, but I like groovin' to it :)

pokeyron, if you're still around - where did you download those mp3's from?

I was about to buy the DDREX soundtrack from eBay, but if I can get it for free... :)

A day is a drop of water in the ocean of eternity. A week is seven drops.

OK, I just ordered the DDRMAX (6th mix) CD from eBay. It seemed to have the best mix of music. The Extreme CD didn't have many of my favorites like Across the Nightmare and Sakura.

Got my CD last night. Good stuff... has a lot of good music like Freckles, www.blondegirl, Centre of the Heart, So Deep, Exotic Ethnic, etc. Two CDs (one with the songs separate, the other with a nonstop mix), for $15.99, pretty good price.

After a week or so of nonstop listening, here's my official DDRMAX 6th mix soundtrack review:

At $15.99 for a 2-CD set, this was well worth buying. Not only did I get some of my favorites, like So Deep, Centre of the Heart, Freckles, etc., I also have discovered many songs that I hadn't heard before, but now can't wait to play. Those include: I'm in the Mood for Dancing, Ghosts and Bye Bye Baby Balloon.

Also, it's really nice to be able to hear the details of these songs. There's a little honky-tonk piano intro to Cowgirl that I had never heard in the arcade, and in other songs you can really hear the sub-beats that the steps are based on.

The first CD has the songs exactly as they are in the game, along with all the in-game music such as the title-screen song. Also, it has a full version of "True" which is pretty good.

The second CD is a nonstop mix of all the songs on the CD. This is where the CD really shines. Many of the songs are extended, so you get to hear more of them. For example, another verse of Centre of the Heart is included. Yet they're not so long and repetitive that they get tedious, like the crappy radio remixes... still about 2-3 minutes per song, if that.

The only thing that sucks about the nonstop CD is that they felt the need to insert the DDR announcer's voice throughout each song. So, you're jamming to Let's Groove and all the sudden, the voice says "Please remove your memory card!" What?? With that stuff removed, this CD would be great at any party.

Still, like I said, definitely worth the cash. I've looked at some of the other soundtracks and none of them really appeal to me. A lot of the older stuff, like Dead End or Drop Out, is unlistenable, despite being fun to play DDR to, and the Extreme soundtrack doesn't include most of my favorites from that mix, like Sakura or any of the songs adapted from other Bemani games (like Ska a Go Go or Across the Nightmare).

Anyway, at the very least I'd recommend picking up the 6th mix soundtrack.

Thanks a lot Den. I used to like the 6th mix soundtrack, but now since you like it, it's sure to become popular, and I won't be able to listen to it anymore :)

Actually 7th mix is my current favorite, mostly because of all of the challenge remixes. And how did you let BBBB and Ghosts get by you? Two songs I never get tired of listening to...

Well - I learned to play on a 6th mix machine, so I tended to play the same songs over and over. Mostly Nori Nori Nori and Witch Doctor. Then I never went back to the place that had that machine for a long time, and when I did, it was a DDREx. And Ghosts and BBBB aren't on any mixes aside from 6th, I don't think.

I would also suggest some of the DanceMania CD's. Most of the music from DDR comes from like the Speed CD's or the other ones, they have a lot of music that isn't on DDR but its still really cool.
