Its a drop ride, like Tower of Terror at the Disney Studios in Orlando.

A freefall ride just like the one at Disney World's MGM Studios in Florida.
Oh so its the same as the one at MGM. Than why is it taking so long to build? How long did the one at MGM take to build?
The park already has a Triple S&S Tower, why are they building another drop ride? Shouldn't they invest the millions of dollars into another coaster or new generation ride from the Disney fleet?

As much as I wish they would develop something completely new for DCA, I am excited about ToT.

As far as I can tell, ToT and Maliboomer will be very different rides. One is a space shot, one is more akin to a turbo drop (but not exactly of course).

I suppose the big idea here is that developing a whole new ride is far more expensive than simply cloning an existing one.

0-82 in 2.3 seconds! =Wow!

i saw on a show on Travel Channel it took 2 years to build the Tower Of Terror and MGM, because it has such detail in every corner, and there is much computer work to be done

Yeah, ToT will be great, but for a park with such a small variety of rides, you'd really want to see a ride that the park has yet to see or is lacking. ToT is such a big project to build and develop and I feel that the millions of dollas coud have gone into something better. Still, ToT will be a great ride.
the construction for ToT in DCA would be much faster than in florida because there is not much rain here. the thing that makes it take the same time is that ToT in DCA is partly underground. with an el nino coming up, who knows. last el nino it rained almost every week.

DCA's ToT will have 3 drop areas whereas WDW's version has 2. I'm sure that will add to the construction time. Also, DCA's version will have added special effects.

Patience grasshopper.. it will pay off, I'm sure :)

How many feet will it go up???
Wait...doesn't the one in Florida still drop you three times? I remember it doing that when I was there three years ago.

Yes, it does drop you three times, but the DCA version will have 3 separate drop shafts. The WDW version only has 2. Both versions will have the new random drop program that will allow every ride to be different and unique.I would imagine the building will be around the same height...199 feet. The drop itself is a little under 130 feet.

Well the one at DCA will be almost identical as the one at WDW, for 2 exceptions, it will be 20 feet shorter and will not feature the 5D element that I love on the one at WDW. They are also building one at Disneyland Paris which will be identical from the one at DCA.

The Jokes on You!! Ha H***
What is the 5D element on the Florida version of the ride?
Where the car leaves the lift, turns, and proceeds down a hallway scence into the drop shaft. DCA's version will leave the load lift to enter the drop shaft but I dont think there is any real show element like in Florida.
