DCA Info

I just got a ton of info on the new shows that are comming to DCA!! First, the new parade will be called Eureka. It will include 6 large floats and 0 Disney Characters. the parade is designed to give you a road trip thru California. The 1st float will be an intro to the song "Come Away With Me". The second float will be a float of Old Town Olvera Street. Its basically a float for the Mexican commutity, with the music going into a latin beat, with some nice Aztec costumes and traditional Mariachi costumes. I thought they looked very nice! The third float will be of City Of Angles, or Los Angeles. I thought this one was cool. It has the Watts Towers on the float and the music will have a Hip Hop style to it. The performers will be in urban wear and will do a break dance on the parade route. This will be fun! The fourth float will be the Pacific Coast Hwy float. The float will have a sand exteroir which will be interesting. The performers will be wearing water suits and look for flying fish that will roam the crowed. The music will have a rock beat to it. I liked this one! The fith float will be the San Francisco China Town float. This was very nice. The float itself was cool and I noticed that one of the performers will actually be dressed as carry out chow mane. How cool! The music will have an oriental beat similar to RCT's oriental music. The final float will be the Sun float. It will have a combo of all the floats and will include a giant sun on the float. I think that this parade will be great and make sure to check it out!!!!

The show at the Hyperion theatre is call Disney Steps in Time. And if I could only post what I know about expansion rides planned for the near future I would. But getting fired is not a goal of mine. Sorry. Can you say "Love in a Rollercoaster" yes, a small hint :)

OK, so DCA will get a version of the Rock N' Rollercoaster, so? When? I wish they would have planned to put it in before grand opening. I understand the economics of adding a major attraction after a year or 2, but come on! DCA will open as a real tiny park, for $46 (or more) for a one day pass.

So you want a coaster in your backyard? I hope you have a big backyard.

Soggy, you know whats so sad about that? Is that people will pay the $46. For awhile at least. I am so glad I am getting a free preview.

Of course they will, myself included. This is a $30 park experience at the most, oh well.

GhostriderCCI: How are you getting a free preview? Do you have an extra ticket? I live in Orange County.

I actually work for Disney, so we are getting a free cast preview early Jan. Plus I have already been in the park several times, including on a few of the rides. :)

Is the park awesome, or is it being overhyped by Disney?

It's definitely a very visually stunning park. Different than what most are going to expect I think. I think alot of people are expecting another Disneyland, which they are not going to get. Give it a few years to blossom and it wont be all that bad. If only the coaster didnt crawl around the circuit :)
