DCA and DL help!

I will be leaving Thrusday for Socal and I will be in Carlsbad first. I will be leaving for DL Monday morning to spend the day there, Tues day will be at DCA and I'll be there till about 12 on Wends.

My plan is to leave Carlsbad Monday morning to get to DL hopefully by opening, when should I leave? I want to to DL first and save DCA as the best for last, that night I am gonna go over to DCA to see the electrical parade. I'll also check out the park to see what to do for the next day. This a good idea?

Where should I eat? I know at least once I'll eat at Alcopolco's at least once but every meal can't be there whats a good place?

For DL: I always wait in lines here, how can a I beat them [ not fastpass related]

What and when do I get fastpasses for attractions? [ what should I get a fastpass for]

For DCA: I AM VERY EXCITED heading to this new park, how can I beat the lines and what attractions do I need fastpass for?

How bad is Is It's tough to be a Bug's effects?

I was scared BAD by HISTA at Epocot center, granted that was when I was 11 and hated thrill rides. The mice shure did scare me though, so how bad are ITTBAB?

The same Applies to Sun Weel's sliding cars. How bad?

Any comments are apreciated thanks!

I would think so. But I would rather be at DL one whole day and DCA another whole day.

DL=Plaza Pavillion on Main Street...YUMMMMMMY
DCA=anywhere is good especially Wolfgang Puck's

Look at the board they have on Main STreet, they show how long the lines are, usually that helps me.

You get them at the entrance for Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, HM, BTR, and probably more. Anytime.

Go on Soarin over Cali first then Grizzly.

Get Fastpass on Soarin right before you get in line, then when you get off your fastpass sign in time will prbably hav come around and you can get on again really fast:)

My advice would be to go to DCA first. Go there until about 2 or 3, this is when the park will start getting really boring. Make sure you get on California Screamin', Malibumer, Mullholand Madness, Soarin' Over California, A Bug's Life, and Grizzly River Run. They are all great rides. The rest of the park is pretty dull. It doesn't have that classic Disney theming. When you get board, leave the park and go explore Downtown Disney. It's pretty cool there. Go buy a ticket for the movies. Make sure you eat at the ESPN Zone. AWESOME place. Great food selection with a big arcade upstairs. I guarantee you'll love it. Then if you want, you can go back into DCA to catch the Electrical Parade. Make sure you get your hand stamped and save your tickets. Save Disneyland for the last day. It is a better park to relax at. DCA has no good places to sit down and take take in the atmosphere. Trust me, I'm an annual pass holder and and I've been able to experience the best of both parks. DCA is cool if you mix it up with other things. Hope this helped. Oh ya, if you want to get a good seat for the Electrical parade, make sure you start saving seats about an hour or two before the parade starts. *** This post was edited by MMountainFanatic on 7/24/2001. ***
