And exactly what does this have to do with roller coasters?

"X" marks the spot in 2001!

Especially to those of us who live in Columbus, where Dave started Wendy's and where he held many charitable events.

Columbus residents should go downtown to the first Wendy's (across from the old COSI) to pay tribute with a tasty burger.

You can't spell "dishonorable" without "honorable."

This has tons to do with coasters.  Its where I eat before a full day of amusement parking

Just wait till next year!

I love wendy's, great food, ain't nothing like a double stack with cheese meal, but granted, this is a coaster site and this has absolutley nothing to do with coasters.  I eat Mcdonald's or Burger king before a day at the amusement park, wendy's doesn't have a breakfast menu which they should!!!
he rocked
even if this does get closed im still sad

i hope Jeff just understands that some people like to talk about other stuff besides coasters sometimes

Yes, this hits me hard. First of all, I live in columbus. Second, one of my good friends is Dave Thomas's grandsons. A sad day, indeed

those triple stacks are soooooo good but i can feel the fat build up in my veins when i eat them
I love there $1.00 frostys !!This is very Sad.
I live in Columbus, have been to the first Wendy's, and can say that it is my fav. fast food chain. Dave did a tremendous amount for the community. This is tragic, though his illness has lasted a long time. I think a coaster tribute is in store....."Where's the Beef? - The Ride" :) I miss that commercial!

What did the plane that crashed in Pennyslvania have to do with Coasters? What did two towers collapsing have to do with coasters? HUH? answer that one! i mean some people feel this important, and if you dont then DON'T respond!

You know, Despite the off topicness of this post,  I do feel that everyday americans felt comfortable with Dave,  From Hockey to Nascar and Im sure he enjoyed parks too in the day.

Chuck, who will miss the man and the comercials.

the last time i saw dave on tv was when he doing commercials with Darrell Waltrip(retired nascar star) and Ryan Newman(up and coming star who is a rookie this year). I remember dave racing around the track and i thought it was cool.
