Darkastle walk through video!!

http://xtremecoasters.com/index.php?voted=no

Here we have a short video (appr. 5 1/2 min.) about the new attraction at Williamsburg. It has information about the idea and many other things. It also has some great veiws inside the 40,000 sq.ft. castle.

So far things are looking amazing. I can't wait until it's finally open. Looks great!! :)

Wow. Thanks for sharing that video! I'm looking forward to the experience.

What's with the low budget news style delivery and overdubs?

Was I the only one who found that hysterical?

Go to Thrillnerds.com and look in the "News" section... the guy that did the narrating and the interview at the end of the vid does a "Coaster News" show daily for that site... this vid is just an extension of his show... it's actually kinda funny to watch (even if it's not supposed to be funny).

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Seriously Gonch! I was wanting him to just shut up with the dubbing so I could hear what the park rep actually had to say...

"On the moon nerds get their pants pulled down and spanked with moonrocks."

I'm not seeing any 'news' at thrillnerds except for the video in question.

So are all the videos like this guy going out and about like this?

Does he ever sit behind a desk (presumably in his or his parents basement) and report?

Co-anchors?
Today in coaster weather?
The latest coaster scores?
One of those "fight back" style segments where I can write an e-mail about my crappy trip to SF and they'll go get an apology and my money back?

Sorry. I guess this is just another of those wacky coaster community things that I just don't 'get'. I think I'd rather just a take a moment or two to read a news article than download a small video and watch someone read it to me.

Just struck me as funny. :)

It is so lame to wear a lapel mike and not tuck the cord under your jacket.

But, to top that, the guy is not good at freestyling his concluding remarks, so they should have refilmed that and read a prepared statement.

Jeez, at least it was humerous and gave a few sneak peaks inside the castle, so I can't complain too much.

I think there must be some sort of cue cards or somthing because he keeps looking to his left or right. It is pretty bad. Their are some strange little pauses in there. :)
