As far as the complaining employees, I know, it gets old. And if they would at least try and be nice, they would have a better day, but you never know that until you experience it..
I deliver groceries, and it never fails, the rich people (not ALL of them, just MOST) tip the least if at all. They're particularly picky too! It gets tough giving 'service' to people who aren't appreciative, etc., or when I'm having a long day, and everything I touch turns to crap.
Good thing I'm learing to let go, and when I force myself to be truly nice to someone, even if 'undeserved', it comes back to me and I end up having a nice day. Never thought this fighting punk gig drinking jerk would be saying stuff like this. It really works though!
I miss Grandma. :) I am glad Rob and Chuck got some video of Bill sucking up to her so we could get that kiddy credit. ;)
Grandma rocks!

Homo-phobia at a park REALLY sucks doesn't it? Take for example the other day my boyfriend and I (him 20 these days don't they?" from and old man behind us.
But not to go on with that topic too much just giving someday to check it out. *** Edited 7/2/2006 12:01:57 AM UTC by P18***
It does suck, but it's part of being a 'minority' I guess. Kudos to you and your boyfriend for showing affection. The thing about my instance was that I was giving any indication (well maybe I look gay, I dunno) that I was gay... these two were just looking at the back of my shirt, and said something about how "it must mean your a f*g."
I get people at work on that all the time. I just tell them I'm gay, and they get all flustered. It's similar to using the n word around an african american to me... but not everyone knows they are actually in the presence of gay people. I didn't do it in the case at Darien, I just looked at them and said hi. That freaked em out good enough. I don't demonize them for it... ok, guess were getting onto other topics now, right!?
Good for you for standing your ground! And people that comment with slurs ... sometimes its out of fear b/c at some point they may have had thoughts, etc, and psychologically, they want to distance themselves... something like that.
So Dorney is a really nice little park isn't it! Anyone know why the took out the tunnel on Coaster/Thunderhawk?
I have no idea why they took the tunnel out. :-/
Talon is pretty decent. Hydra is OK, then again I haven't met a B&M I haven't like. ;)

And really, while we get more slurs and smart remarks which is to be expected, we get a decent amount of good comments as well so I don't seem to highlight the bad. Like as you pointed out, praise for being ourselves out there, as well as some unexpected things. Like poeple who we get to talking to in a line or something, converse a bit and they find out we're gay, and they are actually amazed and tell us they would have never thought. Im guessing since alot of people have these stereotypes that all gay couples are flamboyant/girly and what not, its nice to break that for some people. Alot actually say that and say they learned something and we broke the stereotype for them, and how glad they got to talk to us and get to know us a bit. We talk a little more and most ask how long we've been together and wish us good luck, and walk away educated (not fearful) and more open minded. So, it's not all bad out there. *** Edited 7/2/2006 2:19:23 PM UTC by P18***
