Daredevil The Ride???

Now that the movie is out how long do you think it will be that SF will come out with a version of the ride that they copy and put in 8 or 9 of their parks.
What Type of coaster do you think it would be
Awesome Idea, Ive already made a Deredevil coaster for my SF park on RCT 2! I love the idea! I really think it could be like a B&M Sitdown and go through buildings and do really cool inversions. It could also maybe be the 1st B&M sitdown with a vertical drop because that kinda reminds me of daredevil when he jumps off buildings!
I made a Spider Man:TR thread a while ago about ride rights, and found that it really depends on if Warner Brothers or Paramount owns the rights to the movie or the Marvel character. And if they don't, it depends on how much they can buy the rights for. It was easy for SF to have Batman and Superman rides because they're far more popular than Daredevil.
Daredevil is a Marvel comics character. If you are hoping for a ride in his honor, look towards IOA.

Daredevil was produced by Fox so I don't think we will ever see it in a park. We may see the name but not the theme

I find it funny how everyone complains about superhero themed rides then looks forward to the possibility of a ride being named after one.

Actually I never complain about superhero themed rides. I think thay are actually pretty cool! And maybe there will be a DD coaster! I hope they do make one though!

Maybe it's because parks use the same one over and over...Ever thought of that?

And I think a 'Daredevil' ride should be enclosed (since he's blind and all ;)).

You are about to discover what lies beyond the 5th dimension, beyond the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination in the Tower Of Terror.

How 'bout an X-Men coaster? Could be a dueling coaster ala Dueling Dragons but have each track be X'men vs Magneto's group, have each train be a different character. Could be interesting...

"You think you know me..."

I think the enclosed idea is great for a DD ride. Through out the ride they could have flashes of scenary depicting his sonar type ability. Also think the start of the ride should be straight down, no lift hill, just out of the station and down like 300 feet. Of course you would have to build an elevator to get to it.
Theres already a ride called Daredevil Falls, thats not themed around the movie.

Daredevil: The Ultimate Fear

The world's first launching, floorless, jet-powered, freefall track-jumping death-coaster!

Launch 0-200 in 1 second up a 80 degree "ramp" and fly 500 feet into mid-air, while doing a few barrel rolls, and land safely at the track at the other end of the park. WOOHOO!

It's amazing what winter and coaster withdrawl will do to you mentally. lol!

Badgers?...Badgers?...We don't need no stinkin' badgers!
Amusement Today, February 2003, page 8 says,

Spider-man, Hulk, Daredevil, Wolverine, Storm, Captain America, among others, are taking up residence at the amusement park [Wonderland Sydney] thanks to a licensing deal Wonderland Sydney forged with marvel Enterprises, Inc. at the end of November.

I find it funny that you mentioned this because on I just read that article the same day I first saw this thread.

Two paragraphs later in the article:

Wonderland officials hand-picked eight characters, with Spider-man foil Green Goblin and Daredevil courterpart Elektra rounding out the group.

What's wierd is that Daredevil hasn't come out in Australia yet but the ride will still open even before the movie comes out.

Just thought I'd let y'all know that. :)

Great idea for a dare devil ride . I think if one is to come out it is definetly at ioa , in superhero land.

practice makes perfect , but nobodys perfect so why the hell practice.

Good thought greenday, however, I think Daredevil was made by 20th Century Fox, not Universal. Maybe those two studios are related somehow, but I doubt it.
