Well? What do you think it's gonna feel like? It's never been done! This is a time so great, such that, you can tell your kids you rode the first looping wooden coaster.
I imagine the drop will be really spooky! After riding the Magnum, I just can't imagine SoB's height! It's amazing to think that you will be higher than the Magnum. Plus, the loop will really be totally wicked! Being up side down knowing your on a woodie will just scare me! ;)
What do you think?

This is the best time to live in Ohio!
I feel the same way! The drop will be very scaring and the loop just confusing. I remember all the times telling people that you need 3 sets of wheels and steel track for a loop. Now I am wrong. It just seems so weird.

I hope I am not being too much of a pessimist about this but I think that maybe on a wooden coaster traveling at those speeds makes me wonder how rough it will be at the highest speeds. I also wonder about the loop an it being rough, but it is a hard call because of it being a steel structure. Who knows, I can't wait till it opens though.
I don't know how the speed will affect the roughness, but listen to this, I have heard that Mean Streak at CP was smoother before they put the trims on the first drop, while it was actually going faster. This might have something to do with the aging of the ride, however. I did not ride it before the trims, so I don't know.

Yeah Baby!!!
No clue how the loop going to feel-I guess that all depends on the cars and their design-
as far as MS-yes it was smoother b/4 trim brakes-dont think the roughness has anything to do with MS' age-I think its got to do alot with the cars.
Does anyone know what SOBs cars will look like???
PKI seems awful hush hush on this dont you think?
O BTW-their webcam still isnt working--whats up with that???
I will be on SOB on opening day!!
cant wait!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight?
Go to the sites section of this site and look for Midwest Coaster Central. He has pics of the train diagrams from ACE's No Coaster Con, where the SOB staff showed them.
