Cypress Gardens wins award for economic impact

The newly renovated Cypress Gardens' impact on Polk County's economic development has made it worthy of an award, according to the Central Florida Development Council. The Dick Pope Sr. Award also happens to be named after the park's founder.

Congratulations! It's unbelievable the amount of development that has gone on and the continuing investment into new rides. Someday when I can make it back to Florida, I imagine I'll find an even bigger, better park by then.

If you go to Cypress, you'll drive through LOADS of new development. I'm not saying Cypress didn't help a little, but the fact remains that that area is BOOMING like crazy! To think what it was like only five years ago...

If you want to invest in land, Polk Co. is THE place to do it...wow!
