Cypress Gardens to get Zamperla coaster

According to a linked newspaper article on Screamscape, a sixth coaster that is being designed by Zamperla will be announced February 1st. I'm guessing by size of the other coasters in the park that it could be a dreaded flying coaster.
Well don't forget Zamperla now "sells" the Reverchon spinning mouse (read: Primeval Whirl at Disney about 20mi away). It could, well, most likely *is* that.

It boggles my mind that anyone would ever purchase this sort of thing. When the one at SFEG was built I thought "Oh man how bad can it be" and then I went to Rye and found out exactly how bad it could be. Yeah, let's hope for the spinning mouse.

I was thinking a Zamperla Windstorm but I haven't looked at the specs of the coaster or the size of the area they are going to put it in.

A day at the park is what you make it!

Since this will be the park's sixth coaster, is anyone wondering what happened to the fifth one? I can't seem to find it.
I can't find it either.
THe scary part: The Rye one was supposed to be an IMPROVED version! :)

I love spinning mice, but there are so much of them now that I'd almost rather see a flyer (however painful they may be) just for the sake of variety.

Never Has Gravity Been So Uplifting.

Wasn't the fifth coaster suppose to be another V&M woodie?
Did I miss something? Have Vekoma and B&M merged? ;)

I think they pushed the woodie back just a bit, but it is still on. Correct me if I'm wrong:).

I'm excited to spend some time @ Cypress in October.

M&V Maybe?

Yeah...that'll be the day.

Ugh, another Volare flying coaster, huh? I was allready not looking forward to riding the other two that are out there at both PCW and Rye. Heh, if it helps the park bring in more people this summer though, as the competition really heats up, then more power to them.
The reasons why the Volare is likely are spelled out here but it's a perfect fit for the park. It may take a while before the locals warm up to any huge coasters so at less than 70 feet this one still packs in a pair of inversions and it will be a new sensation compared to the much richer pockets an hour's drive Northeast.

The park will eventually need its own Cheetah but this is a good, quick move to upgrade what is mostly a collection of junior coasters right now.

M & V would stand for Marting and Vleminckx, maker of fine junior woodies. They made the Triple Hurricane.
Announced February 1st, eh? Interesting... I wonder when it opens.

Please, can we just call the junior woodie Hurricane...I promise to promote the daylights out of CG, but that's coaster's NAME just grates on my last geeky nerve...:)

No, I'm not *offended* in any way, since it's NEARLY impossible to offend me, but it's just.....WORNG! ;)

The "fifth" coaster I imagine is still the adult-sized woodie, which COULD theoretically be finished before this Zamperla, be it the flyer (please no) or the spinny mouse...park maps STILL say "new coaster coming SOON"...

The flyer WOULD have inversions, which none of their current coasters have...That's what flat rides are for...;)

As far as where to put anything, the park LOOKS pretty much full except for some room for flats (i.e., smaller vacant plots) and the waterpark area...unless the waterpark "staging area" that can bve seen from the junior invert is not AT the waterpark area but instead *adjacent* to it? Just a thought...

Oh, and Joe....thanks! When do we get to ride Mummy? :)
