Cypress Gardens opening pushed back again by hurricane

Hurricane damage to the botanical gardens area at Cypress Gardens Adventure Park will set back the park's much-anticipated October reopening, a park official said Monday. Georgia theme park owner Kent Buescher, who recently purchased the 67-year-old park, said he was heartbroken when he surveyed the damage Saturday, estimated at $2 million to $4 million throughout the park.

I feel so bad for him, it seems to be one thing after another. He must really be on the verge of a nervous breakdown... i would be.

I think he'll get some help soon.

The article states that one of the coasters will probably be named after Hurricane Charlie though :)

Bravo to Kent for not turning his back on the project. A set back sucks, but he has high hopes for the park.
Well... the rollerskater according to RCDB was supposed to be called Storm Surge. Hurricane Charley is the storm I guess!
