Cyclone will open this summer, Astroland unlikely

Carol Albert told the Post that it’s beginning to finally hit her that she’ll never be able to resurrect Astroland Park – which once stood where Luna Park will soon operate -- along another part the fabled boardwalk as she had hoped.

Why is she complaining? Didn't she sell her land to Sitt? How could she knowingly have fired the gun that killed her amusement park and then comment about how sad it is she'll never get to resurrect it? Is there something I'm missing?

I was under the impression that most of the land in that area of Coney was owned by the city, and leased by the various operators. The city didn't give the lessees the option of renewing because the developer was promising all kinds of grandiose things. After a lot of shouting about saving Coney Island that got shot down and now we have Zamperla coming in to save the day...........

Whatever happens, at least Cyclone is still safe. It is one of the 'holy grails' of all operating coasters. Now I finally understand why it costs so much to ride - to keep it the way it is.
