Ok, first off...I hate this new system. The Ramp is now the new entry to the ride for fastpass riders instead of the exit..now people who dont have fastpass must:
Be lead up the ramp but only 2 trains worth of people are let to climb up. then the ride op puts the chain across.and waits for a somewhat empty station..this makes wait times slow..very slow and very annoying. What could of been a 15 min wait turns into a 30+ minute wait.

i hear ya! i was there yesturday it was horrible. although the wait was only 20 mins, it just seemed so much longer having to wait in that queue. i dont even see why people pay for that thing. the wait's yesturday werent bad at all. the lines looked long but moved very quickly. especially sros. are longest wait of the day was about 45 mins!
they've really improved on there loading procedures

Ride isn't THAT rough....To be Honest..I never get off the ride in Pain. ..maybe Im just used to its roughness, but it's just nowhere near as violent as it was before with the original out of control, and sadistic first drop. It has Great airtime albeit mostly Violent Ejector Airtime, depends where you sit. I've found out if you sit in the middle, the airtime on the first drop and 4th has a very good floating feel..in the back you just get ejected, same goes for the 3rd drop..only part of the ride that I think is painful. there are alot rougher coasters out there..
Yeah I wasn't in pain. It's just rough. I didn't find it scary though. I just found it violent and uncomfortable. Also, how come they NEVER run 2 trains on it?

I hate the fastpass system. I went there yesterday and it was a 20 min wait with such a short line. The line moves very slow.
Cyclone is a great ride that is worth the wait. Yeah, sure it's rough but at least it's not as violent as Mind Eraser. The only way I'll go on Mind Eraser is if it's a walk-on. It was yesterday and god it hurts!!!!!!!!! I think I need to be treated for brain damage now!!!!!
--------------
interesting...and to think you have to pay 20 bucks for the thing!! Go to the park on a Wednesday- you will wait 15 minutes tops for Superman and Cyclone.
About the two trains on Cyclone- the last time I saw it running two trains was a few years ago...the season with the new PTC trains but before the track reprofiling. I want to say the 2000 season.
-----------------
The first drop was not brutal before, it was glory. Cyclone is filled with very painful ejector air and to most people, that airtime is short and uncomfortable. I can say that Mind Eraser is more comfortable than Cyclone is now. The back slamming, tail bone crush, and rough laterals are much worse than Mind Eraser's headbanging.
SFNE Gu, just curious, in what year did you first visit Six Flags New England.
-----------------
Went back in 1992, didnt ride Cyclone or anything then, too young, but.. went back in 1998, Cyclone was Great, Unfortunatly I rode First time in the back seat, with those Morgans..A bit painful(but I like them better than the PTC trains on Cyclone). Otherwise, it was good and the first drop was yes "Glory" back then. Then Six Flags Came Along..added those trains which turned out to be a dissapointment.
They battered the coaster, and the coaster battered them (due to weight). Cyclone in 2000 was just horrible, A Painful, brutal mess. 2001..Cyclones drop being reprofiled..WAY TO GO SF! YOU PROVE ONCE AGAIN YOU DO NOT KNOW HOW TO MAINTAIN WOODEN COASTERS.
Could of just re tracked it but hell no, they thought..lets Butcher it, and make a tame version of th first drop!! Let's add Trim Brakes! and so they did. You know, they could of put Meillnium Flyers on this coaster. Imagin that..the PTC trains on it now are strictly for OUT AND BACK COASTERS, like Boulde Dash, so..why on a wood Twister..? *sigh*Anyway, end of rant..

I never said Mind Eraser was rougher I just said it was more painful and violent.
---------------
Again, Cyclone is profound for and violent airtime and painful resultings. Much more compared to the park's Mind Eraser.
Mind Eraser may give you a head ache, but that's nothing compared to the injuries that Cyclone has given in the past.
