Custom Ride Music!!!

Has anyone noticed that you can insert your own ride music into the game after installing LL????
I was so excited when I found this out. Here's how it works:
After installing LL, go into your rct directory and go into "data". You'll see a txt file named "custom". Open it, and it will tell you how you can instert your own music into that directory, and then play it with any ride in the game!!!!!
I've only done it once, but I converted Bon Jovi's "Raise Your Hands" and set that as the music for one of my coasters and it's great!
If anyone else has played around with this I'd like to hear from ya.

COOL!! I can't wait to have Britney Spears-The Ride! OK well how about a coaster named after my favorite band, Journey? That is a cool ride name to begin with! I would make a Schwarzkopf steelie hyper, with the appropriate colors!

B. Spears the ride might work. Tjough it would only be able to have to artificial speed bumps, one right after the other=-)! I have made some decent shuttle loopers along the schwarzkoph line.

I can't get this to work! Can somebody help me. I put a wav. file into the data directory, and I named it custom1.wav! It still wont work! I can't figure out why? Can somebody please help me here.
ok well I'll try my best here.
it has to be exactly like it says in the txt file. (CUSTOM1.WAV), capitols matter. The only other thing is the frequency. It has to be saved something like 20500 frequency or something or it won't work.

One thing I was messing up on, is that windows 98 automatically puts an extension after it (.WAV) so I was naming it with the extension, so after windows did it's magic, the game was reading it as custom1.wav.wav
if u have windows 98, try naming it just "CUSTOM1"

Okay, i'll try all those things, thanks!
I can get the custom music to play now, BUT all the music is playing in slow-motion. It's kind of funny, but it didn't working. I don't get why either.
I have the same problem as you blink.

Either your ride is broke down or you've got your settings in winamp messed up. Here's the steps that I've taken to get it to work and it seems to work.

1.) Select the song that you want in the game and open it up in WinAmp.

2. Make sure that you don't have a list open (this makes it more complex if you do later on as you have to mess with more options)

3.) Right click in the program to go to preferences (or options), click on the output menu and select wav converter in the menu choice (that isn't the exact working and I'll try to find that tommorow.) Make sure the song is at the beginning and hit play. This should save the song to a seperate folder called wav files.

4.) Open up Sound Recorder

5.) Open your .wav file

6.) Click save as

7.) Go to change at the bottom of the pop up menu and set your setting to PCM 8 bit stereo.

8.) Save your file as custom1 in the data folder of RCT.

Hope this helps!

It's set to the wrong sampling rate. Use your audio editing software to resample at 22050.
