Curse of DarKastle (BGW) Media Day Video

Just wanted to point out that DarKastle had its media day yesterday and it seems that everything went pretty well. The link above has a short video that includes some limited footage from inside the ride. Unfortunatly, it seems that we're going to have to wait for some TRs to really get a good idea of how the ride is. Fortunatly, the ride is scheduled to open this weekend, so we shouldn't have to wait too long for the TRs.

Enjoy!

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Looks pretty good. I hope to get down there next weekend for my first spin.

A day at the park is what you make it!

I am so excited about a first 3-D ride with a drop this is going to blow Spiderman away.
lol spider man has a drop and a rise!... but I hope it is better than spidy

I don't know about blowing Spiderman away, but I am sure that it'll be a good ride. I probably won't make a trip down there until the beginning of next season.
I heard that there isn't a physical drop, it is all simulated, the track stays the same level throughout the entire ride.
What happened to the vehicle that was going to move in all 3 dimentions along a center pole. When the ride was first introduced, that was the model I saw and it was supposed to be able to freefall and face all directions.

You can read a pretty good review of the ride on a couple sites. Google it.

Really excited about experiencing it myself in less than 2 weeks!

I'm waiting for my daughter to get home tonight to tell me how good it was.

I think you're confusing this ride with the "Pandora's Box" concept Vekoma introduced at IAAPA *** Edited 5/1/2005 12:16:00 AM UTC by Peabody***

It looks amazing. I really do need to get to that park for the first time this year...
Can't wait to ride. It's settled, no physical drop is on the ride. Those who said it all along can sigh in annoyance. This ride is still my number one on the "to do" list this season.
Looks pretty good. I can't wait to check this out in a couple of weeks.
