I was looking at my netscape homepage, and there was a brief article about the new coaster wars. But, It really didn't say anything about it. I have a feeling that it was just a teaser advertisement for Kingda Kahn.
The brief article claims that there is another coaster in the works that will be faster than Kingda, and might even be taller, but didn't give any details on how fast, how big, or where this mystery coaster would be built.
But, it could be just another one of those 10 year old coaster shows, that claims to be brand new, only they don't take into fact that all of us coaster lovers have seen the footage they are shooting in their "ALL NEW" show before. Like watching brand new bigfoot footage from 1962.
Any comments?
Kingda Ka's speed record has already been surpassed by Ring racer and Formula rossa. They were probably referring to one of the two...

Perhaps. But as neither of these coasters are currently operating or showing any signs of doing so in the near future.....
^ I checked the date of the post after reading this to make sure someone didn't dig this thread out of its grave.
I had Netscape as late as six years ago, but it became way too much trouble, with the slow loading pages and the dropped service once a week at exactly 10 p.m. with no explanation, I got sick of it. My DSL is way too expensive, but at least they gave me this nifty wireless box thingie. Wireless internet is awesome with my Imac. I plug into an electrical outlet, and it's ready to go.
lol... What is this topic about again? Where is Kingda Kahn going to be built?

Wrath of Khan was one of the best Sci Fi movies ever made. Don't be in the closet about it ;).

No, the ORIGIONAL Star Wars trilogy (ep. 4-6) were the best SciFi movies made. Followed closely by Spaceballs: The Movie, of course.

I didn't say it was THE best. Besides, there are quite a few scifi movies I'd say are better than Star Wars, which were great in their own right. Well, except most of Jedi.
I'm partial to "The Fountain", as one of the best Sci-Fi movies of all time. lol
When people mention Star Trek, i always tell them that i am a closet Trekkie. That's not entirely true, but it's still funny. I love the shows and movies, but I wouldn't dress up in Vulcan ears or tell people to "Live long and prosper." Most anything can be taken too far, imho.

I despised Star Wars when I saw it on its original release in 1977. I have never revisited it. I have never watched Empire Strikes Back. I actually enjoyed Return of the Jedi. I will not watch the "later" trilogy.
That being said, i'll cast my vote for the following in the Sci-Fi realm:
Alien
Aliens
Terminator 2
RoboCop
ET
Spaceballs
I'm sure there's a couple that are simply not coming to mind.
