When did Crystal beach close and do you know of any sites with pics of the coasters ?

Why cant they build The Cyclone over. That would be so popular.

I think the park closed in the 80's. I'm guessing 1989. Many people said they would love for a recreation of Cyclone to be produced in a previous forum topic I posted. I would travel to ride it if it was built in Timbuktu.

Crystal Beach closed on Labor Day 1988. Unfortunately there is only one site that contains a few pictures of CB (as it is affectionately called by friends). I believe it is www.crystalbeachpark.net. If it is wrong, I will post another note.
On the bright side of the tracks :) , there are several videos available of the park. The better ones are distributed by Wex studios & are available though mail or any WNY MediaPlay stores. If you really would like one of the videos, Reply to this note and I will see if I can post the mailing address. (Permission from the distributor required.)

The problem with re-creating the Cyclone is that it would take away from the ledgend. Same reason why the Bobs will probably never be re-done. Now mind you, i would love to see this coaster return, even more so after badnitrus pics! But i don't see it happening.
