Crowds for IOA

On which day do you think Islands of Adventure would be LESS crowded, Dec.28, or dec. 31?

I'd say December 28th.  The closer you get to New Years the more crowded it will get, same goes for Christmas, save Christmas day that is (It was pretty empty on Christmas Day, but the days leading up to it were another story!).

what do u think the crowds for jan 19 through the 22nd are. we also have the room key thing where if you stay at a universal hotel you can cut in lines

If your staying on property, crowds are irrelevant.  The "No Line, No Wait" express pass policy really works (At least for those who have it) incredibly, and no matter what the crowd situation is, you'll be able to do the entire park in about two and a half hours.  I have to tell you though, it's addicting.  Last time I stayed at the Hard Rock, I had planned on going to two other parks after Islands, but I ended up just staying and riding Dueling Dragon (and yes The Hulk) all day long...  Over, and over, and over again.  You're gonna have a great time.
