Crowds At Hershey and BGW

Hi, I am making my first trip to Hersheypark and BGW next week and I want to know what the crowds are like during mid-week. Also any general advice about those parks would be appreciated. Thanks!
Busch Gardens Willamsburg is not crowed in mid week. Alpengeist is a walk on and Appollo is about 15 mins most of the time. Hope that helps

There are 3 types of people in this world, people who can count, and people who can't.

You shouldn't have much trouble with crowds at Hershey mid-week either. Relax and have fun, but I would visit Knoebels instead ;)

Ask yourself; When was the last time YOU visited Conneaut Lake Park?

What, ME? I am not a little bias towards Knoebels! So tell me, why are you going to PKI instead of Knoebels again?

Actually, Hershey has been really crowded this month, even more so than July. I went on Wednsday and the line for Wildcat was 45 minutes, Great Bear's was 30-40 minutes, and Lightning Racer had 20 minute wait. These lines were very unusual, as Wildcat is usually 10 minutes, GB 10-20 minutes, and Lightning Racer no wait for this time of year. The flats also had a fairly long lines, and the walkways were crowded. A friend told me, who went today, that the park was heavily crowded.

If you're making your first trip, who cares about the crowds and have fun! Its mid-week and August, depends on the weather and any picnics and such. Its best to find out for yourself.

Agreed, people get too concerned about crowds, or lines, or if they will get everything in. The important part is to have fun. Relax, it is supposed to be a vacation afterall.

I just came back from a trip to both BGW and Hershey. I went to BGW last sunday and it was abit crowded, but wasn't over crowded. Waits were between 15min. and 45min. for the coasters. Some advice, get to BGW early and pay the $12 perfered parking and head to Loch Ness Monster(first coaster to open). Some areas of the park open at different times.

I went to Hershey last Wednsday, decent crowd. Waits were between 10min and 45min. for all rides. Some advice, get here early too to grab up a closer parking spot. Hersheypark shares a huge parking lot with a small staduim, an arena(Gaint Center), Chocalate World and all other Hershey related attractions.
