Creating Videos on RCT3?

Jeff,

How did you create vids of RCT3? Or does anyone else know for that matter?

If you have the game just read the manual or the keyboard config in the game but if you dont i think it's like ctrl+alt+f10 or osmething, and just curious, if you dont have the game the why do you want to know?

I have the game but just do not see the section on making videos. I have found the screenshot (F10) but not the video.
Shift+Control+F11
Thanks all! I finally found it. Have not tried it yet. Any problems with crerating them?
I did, for me when it starts creating a video my gameplay runs slower even though I can max the graphics out all the way, another useless feature. Possibly it will run better with my upgraded processor.
I have made one video and it took about 5 minutes for a 16 second video. Then it had no sound. *** Edited 10/30/2004 7:53:49 PM UTC by Trick Track***
Videos don't come with sound for some reason (FLAW!) , at least mine didn't too!

It's not a flaw. How's it supposed to capture sound in real time?

I output the video and audio to my camcorder then reimported it into Avid. Aside from having to deinterlace it, that worked OK.

Thats a good idea Jeff, but shouldn't the "average user" be able to make a simple video with audio without needing special equipment in reimport the video and audio? sounds like a bunch of bull****! ;)

When you figure out an easy way to mix dozens of sounds and resample them to the rate of "recording," you give Frontier a call, OK?

makes sense jeff, but couldn't they record gameplay audio and ride music in the video through the code? Then again, the games flawed enough, I'll have to try what you said.

Creating the video file is easy. A frame is rendered 30 times a second and tacked on to the file. Audio is samples thousands of times per second, and dozens of different sounds need to be mixed. It's easy to do in real time, but to resample it would make the video "recording" even more time consuming.

I see how it would be hard to introduce this into the core of the game. I suppose its better to just leave that alone, and have them touch up the flaws, lol!
