Crazy Mouse coming to Martin's Fantasy Island

Posted | Contributed by supermandl

Martin's Fantasy Island will be investing $1.45 million to build a new amusement ride. The Crazy Mouse is a roller-coaster ride that recalls the fabled Wild Mouse from the old Crystal Beach Amusement Park in Ontario. While Martin's is privately financing the deal, it is working with the Erie County Industrial Development Agency on a sales tax abatement package connected with the construction of the ride.

So, anyone know if they are done with construction? Last I was up there there was just a big void where Wildcat once was.....
Well if it's a Reverchon, It can be setup in less than four days. The one that was at the Ohio State fair set on wooden blocks and was shimmed with wooden slats LOL
Nope, Not yet...the coaster is going to start rolling in within the next 3 weeks and should be up by everyday operations...unless there late in getting it here, and it wouldent surprise me, especialy when nitro was suposed to be delivered in late may and never came till mid/late july

I have pictures of the prepared spot for it its basicaly ready for the ride but as i know we cant post links to other sites, when construction starts we'll get a few more photos instead of looken at nothing but a empty spot. and mabie Jeff would post it in his news section. so i'd say remain calm lol

and hey theres accualy nothing wrong with setting rides on wood shims they had to do that to keep it level. infact the old wildcat sat on wood and trust me they even had to replace a few of them rotted peices from 1969 over the years and i can tell you thats not fun at all lol

Yep... just when you thought that MFI was actually going to start putting in "pernament" ride models, here's yet another plug-n-play ride!

Only Silver Comet breaks the mold, but all the rest of their rides seems like it can just be packed up on a flat bed & shuffled over to a new location overnight. I think sometimes you can see the wheels on the back of some of the rides, wondering if they'll start running down the midway one of these days! ;)

Poor Marty... just doesn't learn the old saying "you get what you pay for" when his new Chance Rides weren't all that great & his Zamperla rides have been arriving late.

dont you ever have anything constructive to say?
all you do is rip the place apart for haven rides that are portable
well sorry to say that portables have great bennifits and are safer.
as for the coaster... ITS NOT "PLUG AND PLAY" you just dont pull that one down the road
its "Semi Permanate" meaning it has limited mobil capabilities.
and as you verry well know ...not all rides are MFI are "Plug And Play" as you say
ATLEAST- this park does fresh paint and keeps things looken new and had the balls to sink money into a coaster
...last i checked Six Flags wasent doin it and the latest as you clame is a beat up coaster that people will need
meatwagons to be carted off in from SFGADV
but lets stay on topic ...good move marty be happy that the place still exists because it could have been verry well condos and apartments by now.

I found the park to be very atttractive and well maintained on my visit last summer. I think Crazy Mouse will suit the park well, a nice compliment to Silver Comet.
Same here. While I will miss the Wildcat (gotta love old Schwarzkopfs), the Crazy Mouse will make a great new addition. I'll be going back this year!
