Crazy Castle?

I just got started playing RTC2, I'm having a hard time with the first senario: Crazy Castle. I've built all sorts of rides and food stands, but can't seem to get the 1500 guests I need to meet the requirements needed to pass. Any suggestions?

You need to practice young grass hopper. Give your self a week or two of ride designing then try again. yOur newer designs should help.

dude, don't feel bad. I played that scenario 4 times before i finally beat it. And the only reason i beat it was because i put in pre-fab rides one after the other in the last year and hired like 20 handymen to raise the park rating quickly.

I think that scenario is designed for the "true" beginner who will just plop in pre-fab rides rather than take a lot of time intricately designing rides or scenery.

Try electric fields - it's much easier. Or better yet, save the game, build the coaster you want in the Roller Coaster Designer, and load them into the scenario.

S:ROS; SFNE. Ride it, and you'll understand.

So you guys are saying that pre-fab rides won't attract customers, and that I need to make my own rides to have any chance of beating the senario?

I disagree totally. The prefab rides are the little peeps dreams come true. I have a collection of my own prefabs that I use along side the included prefabs in almost every scenario. Taking too much time worrying about working out a good coaster is a scenario killer.

My take on scnearios is totally different than fantasy building. It's all about numbers, not pretty. If you can work pretty into the equation, then more power to you, but it's not necessary.

I think the true novices are the ones that think they have to build some huge, custom creation in scenario play - not those who are smart and efficient and use prefabs.

For some insight/help check out my Crazy Castle File

It's saved on March 1st of year 2.

There's already 1,165 people in the park. There's still $12,000 available from the loan. Park rating is 999. Money is flowing in quicker than you can spend it.

All you need to do from this point is maintain the park, keep building at a regular, steady pace - nothing too fast. Pay off the loan if you like to have them paid off at the end of the scenario (I do).

This is what you can do in just one year game time once you get a feel for the game.

In fact I didn't have a saved version of this scenario on file so I started it up after I posted the previous post. All of that took me roughly an hour (of real life time).

Since I suck at building some of the larger coasters, I tend to use the ones available with the game more often (which is why I love the new designer which lets you practice without losing time in a scenario)..

Make sure you listen to your peeps (check the thoughts often). Sometimes they don't want the intense rides, sometimes they want something more exciting.

BTW, Lord Gonchar, I finally met the objective on Amity Airfield last night. I think my biggest problem was double wide paths. I went to single paths, which saved a ton of money, and finished with only $14K on my loan, 3241 peeps in the park.

$12.00 is pretty steep for a carousel ride. LOL ! 2 Ferris wheels huh? I coldn't even get one to work in my park, even though it was dirt cheap for a ride.
