crane at IOA

What ever the cranes for i hope they make a nice improvement, because i don't think nothing really big has been added to the park since it opened
I hope that they leave Ripsaw Fall's drop alone. It is perfection, even if it causes a few bloody noses.

Screamscape says that the crane is there for the Ripsaw rehab.

Turbo/Dexter: Really?? What are they proposing to do to the drops on Ripsaw. In my opinion the climax of this ride is the best drop on a log flume anywhere! Has it really caused bloody noses???

If they are going to make any mods that will detract from its intensity, I say we start a petition!!!!

I'm sure the park would really care about whiney enthusiast petitions. If the drop is being changed, it's obviously being done for good reason; I trust they wouldn't spend the money just for the hell of it.

I saw a picture of that crane...it's cute and cuddly! I think I'll take it home and call it Frasier ;)

Mamoosh, that's awful! :-)

Really Coasterdude :-)

If, and that's a bif 'if' the crane is there to modify DDRRF:

I hope the park would be interested in feedback from people who enjoy the ride.

I also don't think it's fair to deem someone a "whiney enthusiast" just because they don't want to see a great ride neutered!

Of course if it's an technical requirement then I guess there's no more to be said. However, if it's the result of a few "whiney non-enthusiasts" getting up tight about a nose bleed then leave it alone I say! :-)

I think injuries are far larger issues than possibly removing a little bit of the thrill, something 99% of parkgoers aren't even going to notice in the first place.

Seems weird though....just last year they changed out the seating configuration to give each rider their own *seat*. As the best log flume I've ever ridden (as well as its location), I'm kinda "possessive" about my DDR.

This is the first I've heard about nose bleeds....can't be from the drop, can they? I'm wondering if people aren't leaning forward (in a vain attempt to stay drier) and banging their noses up against those very seat dividers...anyone?

You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)

That sounds like a more logical explanation to me, as the ride doesn't have the neccessary forces to cause nose bleeds ;)
