CP's Ticket To Ride

Sorry to bring up an old question, but I am trying to understand exactly how Ticket To Ride worked (or in this case *didn't* work). I've searched through the CBuzz message boards and the the Point's message boards, but most of the information is spotty and the links have expired.

From what I have pieced together, everyone was required to get a pass with a specified time window during the time of 11am to 4pm. This resulted in having huge lines at the pass distribution point and denied people the option of just waiting in line in the regular way.

Is this correct? Also, was TTR used in 2000 or 2001?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Yeah, that's basically how it worked. The time frame was one hour at a time. When they originally started though the times ran from 11-8. The line for getting a ticket could go up to a half hour in some cases and then the line itself was 30-45 minutes, so you can see the pointlessness behind the whole thing. TTR was only used in 2000.
Mercifuly, it was only used for PART of 2000 at that.

Freeway, on the other hand works pretty well. I still wish they'd go computerized like FASTPASS and Universal EXPRESS.
