CP's Millenium Mania

I apologize if this topic has been discussed, but I am just curious how Millenium Mania is? Are there big crowds??

They only sell a limited amount of tickets, but I don't know officially what that number is. Last year it was like I was somewhere else. Walk-ons to Millennium Force and Raptor, and they were actually allowing re-rides! Five laps on Raptor back right without getting off. One more lap and I would have had to been carried off!

If the same is true for this year, it's worth every penny.

when is this event?
The event is on Sept 6,7 and 13,14. Check CP's website for details, Mark. So far, it sounds great!!! I paid $20 a ticket on their website so it seems as if it is a great deal for what you are getting. Jeff, I understand that only a limited amount of food places will be open. Do you recall which ones were serving?
could you post a link to some info? I can't seem to find anything about this on the CP site. If it's only 20 bucks, it definitely sounds worth it!

Welcome back riders, how was your ride...Enjoy your day, here at Cedar Point, America's roller coast.
I recall only one restaraunt being open, the sit down place right next to the Wildcat, I wasn't worried too much about food. It was so awesome being able to ride the rides over and over again without waits, and sitting in the front seats on all of them. I'll be back again this year on the 7th! Maybe see you there!

Regarding your question on how many tickets will be sold, here is what the CP website said:

"How many tickets will be sold? How will Cedar Point determine what the
cutoff is in regard to attendance?

Cedar Point is committed to only selling the number of tickets that will allow superb guest satisfaction for this event. The exact number is undetermined, but the park understands Millennium Mania participants want to ride, not wait in line."

Im glad I bought my tickets then :)
o crap , i wish i heard bout this earlier i would have gotten tickets, even though i doubt my dad would let me go for the second time this year

all hail the Force!!!God of all coasters!!!
It's strange that they say on the site that they will post any date that becomes sold out because the ticket that you buy can be used for any of the four days. How do they know when you are going? I figure they are "guesstimating" as to how the total number of tickets sold will be spread over the four days. It can be done but it would be a lot more exact if they made people but a ticket good only for that particular day.

Just my .02
Does anyone know how to find out if there are still tickets available? Thanks
The only way to get tickets now is to actually go to the event and buy them at the gate.

Can you use you season pass?

front car on mf. hope you have the chance to do it.
If you have a season pass, you can get in for $17. It's posted on CP's website
I am having a problem deciding what I want to do. I am supposed to go tomorrow, but MF will be down. I havent ridden MF yet, but I know that most people would probably wait for the next Thurs/Fri. for when MF is open (or at least, I think) and I would have Vertigo for free. What should I do?

Go twice if you can!
I can't go twice. That's another problem, I am only able to miss one day of school for this.

Top 3 coasters that I have ridden.

My wife and I are going to CP next week for Millennium Mania and that will be our only trip there this year.  We are only going to ride MF, Raptor and Mantis (once or twice).  Neither of us is interested in the other rides and we certainly don't care about Vertigo. So, if MF is down, we won't go. Is there any indication that MF will still be undergoing maintenance next week?  I would really like to know

Is it true that MF broke it's lift cable because Monty Jasper said "Let's put a brake on the first drop" and the coaster decided to commit suicide?
