Cp's Freeway and Early Times

Ok what is this 30 min time for resort guests? Do you have to show something? I plan on staying at one of the resorts and want my exclusive time on MF!!! But if any of you guys have done this before, please explain it and your experience. And the freeway stuff, can't you just wipe the stamp off and get multiple stamps? I know some of you guys have done this so fess up. I hope to get the back of the park done early and get night rides on everything. By the way, which is the best gate to come into CP? Thanks!

Hypersonic where are you?

I imagine that if you wiped the stamp off your hand, the ride ops would have no idea that you ever HAD a stamp, and thusly would forfeit that ride time... That's my guess though.

Edit to say: When I was there, I didn't really have to use it (mortals afraid of WT!) so I'm not positive this is how it works.

I'm going next weekend for the first time and I'm curious to how this works too.

Freeway works approximately like this:

There is a kiosk in front of MF and WT. The workers there distribute a very limited number of handstamps. Each stamp has the two letter abbreviation for the ride, as well as a time range. When you re-enter during that time range the poor person who has to try to merge the standy lane and the freeway line together (one person quipped that it was worse than directing cars in the parking lot) has another hand stamp that they stamp over the original stamp to cancel it out.

For reference the day I saw Freeway in use, I boarded Magnum at around 3pm and I already saw stamps on peoples hands for 7-8. This was a day when the crowds were moderate but nothing except MF and WT had any appreciable wait. I'd imagine the stamps go much faster on weekends.

What this means for those trying to play the system. There is no point to washing the stamp off before you ride, as you forfeit the earlier ride, and may not get back to the handstamp kiosk in time for a new one. After riding the ride, washing off just the cancellation stamp would be detail work that would remove much of the freeway stamp anyway. And unless there really aren't that many people in the park (in which case they won't offer Freeway), by the time you get that freeway ride, and go wash the stamp off, they will probably have already distributed their allotment.

At first I laughed about them using handstamps rather than a ticket based (or electronic device) based system, but now that I think of it, they have constructed maybe the most cheat proof system out there.

The 30 minute exclusive time applies to Resort stayers, Season Pass joe Cool Club members, and other people who choose to pay a litle extra. These people can get into the park up to 30 minutes early to ride MF or WT.

Note I said up to 30 minutes early. Both times I went to CP this year the line for early admittance was quite long.

Fortunately I was near the beginning of the line both times. The first time I got four consecutive laps on Wicked Twister. The Second time I got only one lap on MF but only had to wait 3-5 minutes.

I would assume that as the summer goes on more people will be entering the park early. The real benefit to the early admitance time is the fact that you can not only get on either WT or MF early, but, if you are wise, be the first to head to the middle/back of the park. As the public starts filling lines at WT, MF, Raptor, and other such big or close to the entrance rides, you can be almost lineless at MS, Gemini, CCMR, Magnum, and such others. This is what I love about the early admitance
