CP:OD Superman...what?

I got in the park around 9:40 AM, and decidedI had to get on Wickedd Twister. First of all, the whole area looks really nice, and the line is very entertaining.FIrst ride was the back...OMG! Who's a superman...whats a V2? This definetly makes the ride. Looking down as your flying backwards up that spike is awesome!

After an amazing Wicked Twister ride we opted to check out Millennium Force's line. Well, it was huge. So we headed over to Mantis, which was a walk-on.

After Mantis we headed around the trail back to Mean Streak. Spotted Jeff and Dan exiting the ride, but didnt get a chance to say hi. Well, IMO the rides still slow and boring, not much more tto say about it.

After Mean Streak we headed over to Happy Friar. Nothing like vingar and ketchup doused fries for breakfast! Aparently it takes 15 minutes to make a single corndogs these days, So while my 3 friends stood in line for there food, I jumped on Gemini. Still the smoothest arroww I've been on to date, and I got a good look over the mysterious fence. There looks to be 2 rather large footer and rebar sticking out the to in a circle. Theres also somehting under a big blue tarp back there but I couldn't figure out what it was.

After another ride on Gemini, we headed over to Magnum. Always has been and always will be my #1. I spotted the GTTP group in the line.I would have felt dumb saying hi, I dont really know any of them, but they seemed to be laughing it up. Once we got into the very crowded station, In oculd see the new air gates...pointless IMO.

Next up was corkscrew. Got a nice intense back seat ride and moved on.

We then headed over to Draggin Iron for a quick lap. Well, it wasn't a quick lap. We ended up stuck on the 2nd lift for about 10 minutes due someone losing there lunch in the station.How someone threw up on Iron Dragon I'll never know, but they cycled us through one more time due to the wait.

Next cam Millennium Force. The paint is fading and the ride's starting to looks purple at some points. Millie wsent down after wating an hour, and I wasnt moving. Ended up waiting 2 and a half for a horrible ride. Never again will I sit near the back. I got absolutely NO air at all, even with a good amount of room.

Next it we checked Raptor's line but decided too go eat. I had never went to Midway market before, but I'll be eating the more in the future. Talked with joe. wwhile making my hamburger,

Next was Raptor, good ride in the back. Fter Raptor came Blue Streak. Some ride-op was being very generuos, smiled at my and put my bar down one click. Well, I'm not complaing lol.the rides rujnning great.

After a quick ride on Demon Drop, we decided it was time for a space shot. Met up with Acer and his friend along with Kara's (STchick) group.We all decided to finish the day on the new kid in town and headed over to Wicked Twister. Well, Some moron decided to jump the fence under the back spike to get his hat and was ejected from the park after cussing out a ride-op. Ended up getting off the ride and running back in line right before they closed it for one last ride. All in all I ended up with 4 laps on it by the end of the day, and I'm really impressed.

Also, got to ride Disaster Transport with the new 3D effects, I'm really glad the ride got some attention.

I too was looking at the paint job on Mantis. I thought for sure they were going to repaint that ride over this past winter. Anyone know or have any idea of when Mantis is scheduled for repainting?

It was supposed to this year, but they pushed it back to next year I believe.

No one really knows why it got put off, but its was most likely just budget issues. The whole Vertigo debacle probably cost the park some cash that might have gone to the Mantis paintjob otherwise. I agree that Mantis does look pretty poor, but at least the first drop trim was off when I rode Sunday! :)

2001 Magnum Crew

Mantis looks bad, but only if your really "looking" for it. Magnum should get the paint job first IMO, its older and really faded. Mantis can hold off another year or two.

Won't get any argument from me there! :) I'd love to see Magnum get painted before Mantis. At least Magnum is one faded color though, rather than three faded colors... :)

2001 Magnum Crew

Mantis isn't just faded, you can actually see primer and the rails are really rusty. Magnum, while not as pretty as it once was, can certainly get by for another year or two. Mantis is in sad looking shape. When I see the cover of the one roller coaster book with the Mantis corkscrew I can't believe it's the same ride.

Do they let you choose your seat on MF now? I heard they were assigning seats last year.
