CP Weather Sucks!

Is it just me or is CP's weather always awful. I have been twice and both times it is raining. Everytime I look at their park cams it's raining. What do you all think?
LOL....ok

Dayuum, Your HOT!

I've never been there in the rain and I've been there 27 times in the last 3 years. Even when it's raining the entire way there, when I get to the park, it may be cloudy, but it never rains. I've seen the complete opposite

I have had bad luck this year with rain. CP first time this year freezing cold and poured latter in the day, Michigan's Adventure rain for a hour on opening day, second trip to CP on the 30th, rained some but was a lot warmer so it wasen't as bad as first visit. I'm beging to think the rain is following me.

Hopefully it doesn't rain saturday, I'm going to Holiday World for the first time!

It is all a matter of luck.
Wow, I never knew CP had their own weather system. Last time I visited around this time of year, nearly the entire state of Ohio had lots of rain.

Maybe I just have such a sunny personality I cause it to not rain - either that or I'm just incredibly lucky

Luck has nothing to do with it. Don't go when it rains. Duh.

Four visits and no rain this year...

If you make a reservation a couple weeks in advance you really can't help it if it rains and just hope you have good weather... It is harder to avoid bad weather when you dont live near Cedar Point either and I hope I have good weather cause Im going in a week.
My trips where pre-plained, no control over the rain. MIA is the only park I can really go to on the fly, CP sometimes but usally no one ca ever go so I stick to MIA for random trips.

Can't even count on the 5 day forecast for CP. The hubby and I planned a trip (I have to plan my days off from work a couple weeks in advance) and 5 days before the trip the forecast was for scattered thunderstorms, 3 days before the forecast was rain (all day). Even the day before they were still talking rain. But we went down anyway as the hubby was planning to race at Norwalk the evening before our CP day.

Miraculously, we checked the weather channel from our hotel room in Sandusky, and the forecast said partly sunny, rain by afternoon. There were a couple sprinkles in the afternoon, but no rain at all. Go fig.

Whenever you have to plan a trip in advance, you are taking your chances on weather. But CP is no more rainy than any other park....unless you are talking California where I hear the weather is gorgeous ALL the time *heh*

Well when I was there for a week up in the Sandusky area. We had the weather wasnt good. The first 3days we had heavy rain in the area. Very nice weather though for coastermainaia on Friday :). Nice and warm!

My only complaint was that the humidity in Sandusky was so bad, that I immediately had to take a shower at my hotel room. But, this is what you get at the end of July. The only other weather complaint I could see would be the blazing sun down the midway. It seems a lot of CP visitors weren't aware that there's this great product called suncreen, and that it keeps your neck from turning red.

B&M vs. Intamin? CCI vs. GCI? Who cares! They're all fun!

As a side note, this was a really crappy spring in the northeast too. Even in Rochester, we usually have a couple nice week before school's out. Not this year though. A couple of nice days here or there, but not weeks. Weather is weather - sometimes it is awesome, other times it sucks! It hasn't been a great spring, but keep in mind, it was a pretty mild winter too. It all evens out over the long haul! :)

One thing about CP's weather is that it can change rapidly - not just over days, but over hours during one day. I spent a couple days in comfortable 70+ degree temperatures, only to be freezing later at night with temps in the 50's and breezy. Storms also can blow in and out in a hurry.

You've been twice and you come to this conclusion??? I've been maybe 6 times and never had it rain on me. Just luck.
