CP Trip soon, have questions

I am going to be at CP next sunday. I was wondering a couple of things. The first is how bad are lines on sundays? The next thing I was wondering what are the best seats for airtime on the coasters? Thanks

Allrighty, first of all cant answer your first question but with regards to your second question,

Raptor: Ride in the back in the seat closest to entry line to get the most lateral Gs on the final helix

Magnum-Others will tell you differently but as for me I always go with last car first row. The first row of any car offers more leg room (a must for me) and I find the back to be a more enjoyable ride. I find the closer you get to the front you get more floater air on the first (but you still get a sizeable amount in the back) and second (virtually non existant in the back) but after that your airtime ratio severly drops when compared to the back of the train which pretty much spends the entire way home out of their seats. This is just my preference, be sure to try the front and back of this great coaster.

Mean Streak-If you dont want your fillings knocked out sit towards the front.

Gemini-Back, be sure to sit on the side facing the other coaster if they are racing in order to preform the hand slap on the turnarounds.

MF-I have yet to brave the bugs in the front but I have heard that it offers an increable view, you get pretty much the same experience anywhere on this one so unless you wait for the front youre due for pretty much the same ride (even though I do tend to gravitate towards the back)

evertime i've gone to cp on a sunday the lines are pretty long.....but if your going in june it wont be as bad as july or august, my sugestion is hit the more popular rides around lunch times and late in the evening.
Well how about the lines for Saturday. I believe we'll be staying at the Breakers so hopefully the walk (run) to TTD will be shorter than from the main entrance?! Just so long as my buddy and I get our fix on TTD and MF first the rest of the day should be smooth sailing. Really though, does anybody know what a Saturday in early June is usually like?
MF-Front seat,Awesome view and air

Raptor-Font seat, great view

WT-back seat

Magnum- car one row 3...Beware the bar hurts your legs due to the mass amount of air!!

Saturdays During Summer=Huge lines at CP, get there early and plan to spend the entire time on your coaster quest, use fastlane, and pray that the weather is bad (but not too bad) enough to keep the crowds away.

Alright, Sunday is going to be busy so get there early. You HAVE to ride front seat on Top Thrill Dragster. I rode the back first and then the front and there was no comparison. The front was SOOOO awesome!!! Back seat for Millenium Force. Front seat for Raptor. Back for Magnum and Mean Streak. And anything else doesn't matter that much in my opinion. Have fun!

the old lady's opinion:

If you are staying at the Breakers, you'll get early entry and my advice would be to hit either TTD (from the resort/Magnum entrance) or Millennium Force first. I would suggest front rows for each just for the visuals.

The thigh banging airtime seat on Magnum is 1-3. Raptor: I prefer either the very front (for the visuals) or the very rear. Raptor lines tend to thin out greatly around 2-3 pm. Wicked Twister, I prefer the second to last row...great visuals and maximum twist up the back, but front is cool too.

Have a great time!!

While we are on the subject of Cedar Point advice here.

I am planning a trip to CP in October and I would like some advice on what crowds are normally like then, Now I understand that those days are Halloweekends so does this make the park a lot busier than normal?????? I did try to go back to CP in 2 weeks time, but that is now not happening so its October or never.

Obviously this gives me a chance to get back to CP and ride TTD but I am worried about how busy it may be, so if anyone could help me out on what the crowds are normally like in October, I would appreciate it, Thanks

I have a season pass and I rarely go much in July or August due to heat and crowds. I love going in the fall, I think it's a great time. You're not going to have super long lines and even if there are a few lengthy wait times, you won't sweat to death through them.

IMO, Saturdays are bad days no matter what time of year you go. I would try Sundays in the fall.

And just as people have mentioned many times on the boards, it really is difficult to "predict" what crowds will be like. Weather is a huge factor, and until you can predict what the weather will be like on a specific day months in advance, it's going to be difficult to predict the crowds.

I totally agree - an August visit on a Saturday is like wandering the streets of Calcutta - dirty, smelly, and not too fun if you've paid to get there.

But I still would endure it for TTD. I've been asked many times "Did you really wait three hours for a ride that lasts twenty seconds?" and I answer, "yes, stupid!"

DO NOT RIDE ON MEAN STREAK!

I totally disagree, youve gotta ride everything at least once (for the credit) and just ride towards the front of Meany at night and you will get a decent ride.
