CP trip questionS

Hello everybody. Now I did a search on this topic, but didn;t find anything. My dad is taking me to CP this summer for the first time, and we are very short on money for the trip, and would like to make it as cheap as possible, we are only gonna stay for one day. We live in near St. Louis, and I was wondering if there are places to get discounted tickets to the park, or discounts for stuff at the park besides on their webstite, and we will prolly stay at a days in our something cheap, so is there anyone by the park? Thanks for the help!

Old arrows might be rough, but they are the most gorgous rides to date.

Literally dozens of hotels, all comparable in price. Travelocity/Expedia will give you a sense of what is out there.

As for discount tickets, a sure bet is AAA, though they have not yet announced a price AFAIK. The other thing you could do is call 1-800-BEST-FUN, and ask for a "Getaway Guide." This is published by Cedar Point, and contains ticket coupons, in-park discounts, etc.

For grins, you should also check the prices for Breakers Express (a Cedar Point-owned property, but one that is "off-Point") when you look for hotels. It is usually quite competitive with other off-point hotels. Breakers Express guests get many of the perks of (much more expensive) on-point hotels, including half-hour early entry and discounted park tickets. The ticket prices through CP Resorts will be comparable to AAA discounts.

If you are looking for really cheap hotel rates stay about a hour away from the park. Then when its time to head home your a hour closer.

Just a thought.

If you plan to go to Worlds of Fun this year, go there first and get a seaosn pass. It's only $59 and then you get into CP for free. Admission to CP is about $40, so the WOF seaosn pass is a great deal.
I also like the idea about staying an hour away from the park though. :-)

If you have an RV, Conversion Van, or some other camper you can stay at Campers Village for cheap and be On-Point with all the bennies (no tents allowed unfortunatly).

Speaking of Breaker's Express, I'll be staying there 3 nights in May. What type of services does Breaker's Express offer, such as shops, food, and such? Their website doesn't show much. Help, please?
