Whoa, I need to correct some false rumors.
All of the Breakers guest rooms have A/C. There are some "dorm rooms" on the fourth and fifth floors of the Rotunda that do not have A/C but they are for employees.
The main lobby of the Breakers, Rotunda Area, and main hallway do not have A/C but again, the rooms do. All guest rooms have bathrooms. Back when the hotel was built there were communal bath facilities but that was common at the time. Indoor plumbing was a luxury at best back then.
A good guide is that Breakers is good for the kids with everything right there and I recommend Sandcastle as a quieter place...good for couples or adults without kids.
