CP Pirate Ride Rose

Back when the Pirate Ride was removed at CP (the '97 season was the first without), I was a sweep in the front of the park. Someone left a rose and a "we'll miss you!" note in memorial -- I thought it was a weird gesture at the time, but now that I've discovered my passion not only for CP but for coasters everywhere, I understand the attachment that can be made to different rides -- I have my babies (Iron Dragon and Disaster Transport -- '98/'97 Crews) after all! Anyone know and/or is the person that left that memorial to the Pirate Ride?

If you can believe this, I have been going to CP at least once a year since 1992, and I don't remember what the Pirate Ride is!?!? A little help remembering please?

The Pens will win the Stanley Cup in 2002!
It was between the Silverdollar and Blue Streak.
That and the Earth Quake Ride were dark rides you rode through.
Now there is a tiny arcade in a little bitty alcove back by the Blue Streak - that's where the loading station for the Pirate Ride was. If you check out the back, you can still see the murals, and if you look closely at the floor you can see where the rails were. The rest of the building is used both for storage and the Blue Streak computer.
