CP Opening Weekend

Does anyone have an idea as to why CP would move its opening weekend to the second Saturday in May? Isn't that usually when all the school busses show up? Would this possibly be a cost cutting measure since acquiring the Paramount Parks?

Its seems that just a few weeks ago there was a opening date of May 5 on the website. Oh well...what is one more week.

Based on looking back at Opening Days at the park in the past when this topic came up at PointBuzz, I can tell you it pretty much falls into the Opening Day pattern of the last 20-25 years.
