CP Opening Day - the myth, the legend ...

Associated parks:
None

... the boy.

Normally I would leave the opening day TRs to others, but this is something I must report.

At approximately 3pm yesterday, while waiting in line for the front seat of Wicked Twister, I meet none other than the myth, the legend, the boy ...

CPNut (aka Pancake Boy)

While he looked nothing like the stalker picture janfredrick created (more like Unibrow in Austin Powers 2) he did exhibit the easily identifiable qualities of the multitude of other coaster tools there - random attempts to start coaster-related conversation with strangers in line and of course, the obligatory coaster website or enthusiast club tshirt (in this case, a thepointofcedars shirt - probably the worst name for a website ... ever, and the defining characteristic that made me recognize the boy).

I was so torn between laughing hysterically, asking him if he had pancakes for breakfast or delivering one of the most overdue punches to the face in human history that I just did nothing. Sadly, my encounter with CPNut was not an eventful one, but it did freak me out enough that I immediately went to the other side of the park and rode and enjoyed Mean Streak ... in the back seat. Makes ya go, hmmm ....

And yes, there was a slight smell of syrup in the air.

Did you get pictures?!?
I had the opportunity to meet "CPNut", as you call him, at CP last year, and found him to be a very nice guy. He's very knowledgeable about CP, well-spoken, and certainly NOT a tool. I'm not privy to the whole "stalking" and "pancake" incidents here some time back (though I have heard about them), but I think that this poor guy is being wrongly judged before anybody even knows what he's really like. I think it's sad that people are making random judgements about somebody, just based on somethin they said or did at a coaster web-site. Maybe if you had actually gone up and talked to him with an open mind, you would have found that he's really not such a bad guy after all.

Also, his website is a nice place, and though not busy, an impressive site for such a young person to put together.

BYW, there's nothing wrong with wearing coaster t-shirts. People wear sports appearal because they like the team, people wear clothes with brand names on them because they like that brand of clothing. People wear coaster shirtss because they like that coaster (or website). There's nothing wrong or "dorky" about that.

While I'm not sure if he comes to this site anymore (I suspect that he does under a different name), I think that it would be a shame for him to see himself talked about in this manner. He's never done anything to anybody here (at least that I'm aware of). And before I get flamed for coming to his defense, just remember that you don't know me either. If you'd like to know either of us for who we really are, set up a meeting time in the calender. Please people, a little kindness and civility goes a long way.

And by the title I thought you saw William Hung at CP ;)

On a related note, watch for my new website coming soon.... www.TheIslandofKings.com and www.TheSpalandofNagashima.co.jp ;) (Soon to be followed by the Mountain of Magic, the Lake of Darian, the Wood of Dolly, etc. ;)

And yes, this is coming from a genuine Coaster Tool.....I wore a coastergallery.com shirt at Fujikyu Spaland (see my profile pic) and at Nagashima Spaland. MAN did I get a lot of questions and comments about the site! Pretty cool :)

-Peabody, who harbors nothing againnst CPnut.....he is a good member of this site now.

Hi, here is my trip report for 5-8-04.

MF 3 times

TTD once

Raptor, Magnum, MS: 10 times each

Corkscrew twice

ID, once

WT once

Power Tower, twice, both up,

and Choas twice

Poor kid; It's hard enough just being a teenager without his MENTORS and adults that he looks up to making complete fun of everything about him. The kid fits in pretty nice here now. He doesn't cause much of a stir anymore. He is one of us, weather you all like it or not.

I'll laugh, but like a big bro laughs at his little bro.

Impulse-ive, why didn't you say hi? A bunch of other people did.
your CP nut? whos CP nut?!? Sorta Confused? lol

Kyle Says: Diamondback was a lot of fun! Made his first time at Kings Island worth it all!

Don't worry about it Kyle. Just something from Cbuzz's past. It's far in the past now.... Top Thrill Dragster is a very different person from CPnut :)

Yeah RaptorMike. Tell us what you had for breakfast and each time of day you felt like farting but held it in. Details! Details! ;)

Impulse-ive: I'm the myth and legend 'round here dammit. Don't make me call the minions and groupies on you.

Kyle Fobe: Click the first link in my sig, then the second one. You're welcome.

NOTE: Severe fecal impaction may render the above words highly debatable.

oh yeah, I rode Gemini, twice.

For breakfast I went to BK and had 2 sausage c'wiches.

I felt like farting several different times of yesterday, and each time I laughed because I read the forum about what people did while waiting in line ( the one about people farting) so , I couldn't quite hold them in. :)

any for info?
