CP Oct-5, first Halloweekend trip

Though I have been to Cedar Point many times, I have never made it to a Halloweekend. It turned out great. I love the decorations and the guels walking around at night. It was very crowded, but we were able to ride everything that we wanted to.
We took my mother. It is the first time that she has been to the park in about 15 years. She has a bad back and cannot ride most of the rides, but we rode a few mild ones like Iron Dragon and a few others and then split up. She played a lot of games and took some pictures while we rode some coasters.
It seemed like a lot of the ride ops were new, just working for the weekends because the coasters were stacking. About the best one was Raptor, man were they moving the people through. The other lines were not bad, but slower than normal. Even Millennium was stacking.
The park was very crowded, but everyone had a good time. I won't bore you with the details of every ride, but I loved my night ride on the force. My flight on Raptor was great and there was little if any braking before the second hill. Did anyone else notice this? They have really slowed down Mean Streak, the second half of the ride liked to put me to sleep.

The block brake on Raptor is automatic, it sets itself based on the approaching speed of the train. There was little braking Saturday because of the wind.

It's all about getting around the barrels or over the fences, right leads, no faults, fastest time and still looking pretty when done. What's so hard about that? :)
