CP Freeway Extended!

Looks like someone was reading this site...

FreeWay - A Faster Way to RideA ride reservation system using hand stamps is available for the 2003 season. There is no charge for this service. It is available on Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Magnum, Mantis, Raptor and Wicked Twister. All you have to do is go to the Freeway hand stamp kiosk located near the ride entrance and get your hand stamp with a boarding time. Your boarding time is good for one ride anytime within the one hour stamped on your hand. Once it is your hour please show your hand stamp to the ride host at the entrance to the ride and you will enter our Freeway queue, which will merge with the regular ride queue just minutes before entering the station. At the merge point a ride host will stamp “Ride” on your hand to indicate you have used your boarding time.

To allow as many guests as possible to take advantage of Freeway only two ride reservations per person are allowed. Top Thrill Dragster and Millennium Force can only be obtained once. Reservation times are subject to availability. Freeway is not a guarantee to ride. Weather or maintenance conditions may delay or cancel your reservation time.

There is only one way to describe this news, SWEET!! Now you can get 2 Freeway passes, not one like last year.

Actually I think that this is new information to most on this site. Most of us were under the impression that you could only get one Freeway stamp this year like it was last year. It is nice to hear that we can get two now.

It's all fun and games 'til someone gets hurt. Then it's hilarious. :)

Hopefully they'll use a less "goopy" ink for the cancellation of the stamp when you use it - the railings of MF were disgusting towards the end of the year last year! (Then again, maybe the goopiness is the fault of the heat?)

What I was getting at is that there was an already active thread regarding Freeway...

Yes but I considered this new news, and thus a new update. Besides a new thread atracts more people to read it.

That is SO not the right way to use a forum. If you put a post in an old thread it finds its way back up to the top anyway.

Yes, it's awfully freaky that I had suggested the one stamp on TTD and MF and two stamps on the other rides in that thread two weeks ago.

Either I'm connected with those in the know or I just got lucky with the logic and I'm about to launch a Miss Cleo psychic pay service for park improvements and innovations!

Stay tuned.

Stay very tuned.

The twice a day thing is awesome. I would use them both for Millennium Force but that is obviously restricted. Whoe would ever get a stamp for a ride like Mantis or Magnum which barely ever has a long line anyways?
"Who would ever get a stamp for a ride like Mantis or Magnum which barely ever has a long line anyways?"

That's why the new policy is perfect. You can weigh the options in your head. Do you want to wait an hour and a half for TTD or 45 minutes each at Raptor and Mantis (I wasn't there last year but Mantis had a pretty long line when I was last at CP in the summer of 2001)?

Joe Cool and resort guests who may have taken advantage of Early Entry to conquer TTD and/or Milly now have a tempting alternative. It will also mean that the Freeway passes at TTD and MF will last later into the day, rather than being gobbled up immediately.

Kudos to Cedar Point for recognizing that some Freeway passes are more valuable than others so they have adjusted the currency.

I believe the rule is you can get a total of two stamps but you can not get two stamps that are both MF or TTD. From what I read you can get any combo or two stamps from one ride as long as it isn't MF or TTD. If that is the case I think the best thing to do is get one stamp for MF and one for TTD.

Touchdown, indeed! I think I'm going to have to call off that Miss Cleo service after all. Just when I was about to suggest a ten stamp option for the Mine Ride, it seems as if you can get two stamps anywhere -- you just can't double-up on the two biggies.

It's good to see them doubling the amount of rides doling out the Freeways then. I wonder if they'll start stamping once the park opens this year. Hmm, now to formulate the ideal Freeway combo for CoasterMania!
