CP finally puts to rest the annoying "Sinking Magn

Wednesday, October 29, 2003 4:15 PM
Check out CP's Magnum webpage, (http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/rides/thrill/magnum.cfm) scroll down to the blue box near the bottom, it appears CP has tired of the "Magnum is sinking" phenomen as much as we have :)

Propaganda and lies. You cannot hide the truth. 3 coasters have risen taller. Magnum is sinking.

Coasters rise before our very eyes now kpjb?

They must be made out of yeast. We knew beer was good for something. :)

I never noticed it on the Magnum Page, but that line has been on the FAQ pages for years. Remember Magnum is now only 204 feet tall.

Who said it was beer, Scott? Urine has yeast as well. Perhaps it's from all those TTD and MF whiners. ;)

I'm wondering how long before they have to add "TTD is not leaning" to their FAQ page

A silver tag that used to post on GTTP from time to time said that they started the rumour in an employee newsletter years ago, in an April Fool's Day kind of way. It somehow festered into fact.

And people wonder why I challenge everything that's said on the Internet.

True that. I knew the person that wrote the story. All these years later I still get a laugh out of the "legs" the rumor had.

Rumors have legs when they are not too far of a stretch to believe. Sinking structures are not uncommon. But, of course, MF ain't. In fact, Cedar Point, along with the rest of that part of the continent, is slowly rebounding from the last ice age.
