Jen and I arrived at the park at 6:30 parked nest to Gemini and noted just how dead the place was. We decided to hit the rides we did not hit on opening day. Took a walk on trimless Gemini ride with a half empty train, 2 train op. Arrow goodness as always, followed by a 2 train op half empty Mean Streak ride that seemed to be running a lot better then in years past. It's not that its rough, it's that its boring. Jen however loved it, go figure.
Back up to the front of the park for a great one train op Blue Streak ride. It was giving ejector air in vast quantities. I can't help to think about how underrated this coaster is.
We went next door to Raptor and I took my preferred seat. Back seat right side with a 3 train wait with 2 train op. What an incredible completely trimless ride. I can't think how intense that helix is.
We started ERT on Mantis with a ten minute one train op back seat ride. What is CP's obsession with making its riders SIT DOWN on Mantis. My usual stand up practice is to pull the restraint down all the way to my shoulders but not on Mantis. They pul the restraint all the way up into you so you are forced with the decsion of either riding on your tip toes, or sitting half way down. No wonder they can't run without stacking for the life of them. Anyway the ride was smooth, intense, trimless and downright great for a Mantis ride. It looks great too.
Decided to go next door to Millie only two find a 5 minute wait for the backseat, they were even letting people reride through the special access gate. The first drop is amazing as always, but after that I really have to say Millie doesn't do much for me anymore. I guess I am just too spoiled by the likes of S:ROS, Maggie, Phantom, Nitro, etc. Its a great ride, ust not my type of ride.
Onto my baby, opening day got a horrible Maggie ride. Not tonight, 3 rides on completely empty trains, 4 peeps a train. Trimless, smooth, ejector air filled. My baby is back. She is still no S:ROS, but as crappy as it was my Focus doesn't match my love for my first car either. You get the picture.
Alright time for a Dragster Night ride to end the day. the wait woudl have ben about a half an hour but they misjudged the ammount of people in line and I waited for the front row only to have to move a half an hour later.
Oh well, took a backseat ride instead and I am happy to say I am glad I did. Wow! The g's are massive and I am happy to say I remember the entire ride this time. The launch is incredible, in its own way it's more intense then Hypersonics launch. It is instantaneous yeat lasts forever at the same time. Where Hypersonic feels like you get kicked in the chest, Dragster feels like you are getting stood on by an elephant.
Up and over the top hat, amazing airtime, and there is Millie BELOW you, now you spiral though a sea of lights with huge laterals in the back. I liken this to Chiller's zero g as it just throws you out of the train. Pull out time and massive G's, into the brakes and wow. The same feeling I had the first time. I can now suffice to say this is the greatest oller coaster ever created. It is short but with what it has, I woudln't want anymore. You come off shaking with a huge smile on your face. No other coaster does this to me.
The ride is truly amazing and Intamin has now firmly seated itslelf with 3 coasters in my top 5. Dragster, SFA's S:ROS, and Volcano.

God bless Intamin, Company that I love. Stand beside her, and ride her, from the opening to the closing of the day.

When was the last time you drove 251 km/h (156 mph)?

"Love can sweep you off your feet and carry you along in a way you've never known before. But the ride always ends, and you end up feeling lonely and bitter. Wait. It's not love I'm describing. I'm thinking of a monorail" -Jack Handey

Timberhawk opens in June! I'm gonna beat you to it... ;)
And Nick the park was dead to begin with and I would estimate there were only 300 people there for the ERT.
