Well, here we go on my second CP trip of the summer. I enjoyed something different this time. Usually when I go to CP I run around like a chicken with my head cut off to get on as many rides as possible. This time I was with a different group of people, two CP newcomers, and I took a gentle pace for the first time, not too gentle though. This pace really helped me enjoy the rides more. Stop to eat, I almost never did that. Anyways, on to the rides and waits.
MF- First ride of the day, arrived at 9, got right in line, the line was still open, the tickets dont go out until 11. The queue was backed up to Snake River Falls, just because people kept stopping at the gate to ask about the ticket system. After my 3 hour wait, the ride broke down for 1.5 hours, I had a great time. This coaster is just really amazing. I don't think it is the best though, I will say why later.
Getting tickets- My next adventure was getting tickets, by 1, they were already down to the last set of tickets, the 7-8 shift. That's a breather, we got one for each of us.
Power Tower- I couldn't believe that we only waited 20 min. to get on this puppy(maybe 30). I have only been on the space shot lately, but once I got back in touch with my turbo drop side, it was heaven. I am so excited about the Drop Zone now.
Shafted!!!!- My buddies wanted to get on a water ride, and I didn't want to get dirtied up. So we went over with them to see how long they would wait, only about 10-20 min.!!! I was hoping to catch a ride on the Mean Streak with my bro, but the line was up to 30-45 min.!!!! AARRGGGHH!!! I thought everybody hated this ride!!!! My brother wasn't too optimistic about going on this coaster anyway, but I was, I didn't get to ride though(he was going to leave soon). I really wanted to get on this ride. So instead we went over to our meeting place and I rode Chaos.
Chaos- This ride is so cool. I just love it. The other lines are way longer now, but that is what CP wanted, and that is what is gonna happen. This ride wasn't that good this time, which was really bumming!!! My reasons, I sat in the very back, which made the drop not last ver long for some reason, I have already sat back there, making for a duplicated ride, and it is so anticlimatic now. You dont't wait in line. The finale isn't nearly as good either, because there are no people to look down at!!! Oh well, I want to take a trip in a different seat and I know that will be awesome!! I still love MF because the rest of the ride is still so awesome.
Raptor- 45 min. I was starting to get sick of waiting now. O h well, what are ya gonna do. The back seat of this ride is so amazing, just do it. The cobra roll is sweet. I still give the edge to Alpengeist, and I dont know why. Its loop is better, its cobra roll is just insane, and it has an immelman. Raptor's inlines and its finale are better though.
Finishing up the day- We wanted to get on Power Tower again, but it was 45 min. What a bummer. We then opted for the demon drop, but we didn't wait 15 min, and even I dont know why. So instead we went for the Blue Streak.
Blue Streak- I have only ridden this once, but after this day, it changed. This ride is such a blast I couldn't believe it. It like hoppped along the tracks and it felt like it was gonna fall apart right there. Good airtime, and it is just so cool. I gotta get me one of those. Now I am so excited about getting on SOB, Beast, and Villain.
Some final notes- Overall, it was a great day. I wish the lines weren't so bad but oh well. The Mantis I think is the closest thing to flying there. I put my arms out like a bird and I felt like I was soaring. Very cool. Are all B&M stand-ups this bad, or was it just the back seat?
