Prologue: James K and Joe decided to head off to Six Flags: Worlds of Adventure for a day of coaster riding. They got detoured by Cedar Point and the trip had become a quest. This is their story. ~ interview by 2:06am local Detroit Media.
James: We originally planned to head out to SFWOA @ 6:30am and heading directly there. While chatting during the drive, we remembered that we both have Joe Cool Club memberships on our CP season passes.
Joe: So… James says something jokingly about going to CP strictly for the early entrance ride time. We were ahead of schedule and it actually sounded like a good idea. We hit Millennium Force and Mantis right off the bat.
James: We had planned to leave CP by 11:00 to continue on to SFWOA. However, ever ride at CP was a walk-on. Before we realized, it was 11:15 and we had rode 8 coasters. (This included a “Solo” ride on the Mean Streak with Joe in the front car and me in the back.)
Joe: I was surprised with the Ride-Ops not pushing the restraints down at all. Usually when that much space it left between a lap and the bar, the at least give you a couple clicks. My restraint was up pretty high. Air time was had for a joyous time.
Millennium Force, Mantis, Mean Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Gemini, Woodstock Express, Corkscrew, and Iron Dragon had already been ridden. The guys then decided to head to SFWOA.
James: I am sorry I am not going into details about which coaster was running how many trains, what seats we rode in, and stuff like that. We just rode 23 coasters in 11.5 hours and they are starting to blend together. We more or less wanted to post that we actually rode that many coaster in such a short time, including drive time.
Joe: When we got into SFWOA, we headed right for X-Flight. Having ridden it before, I immediately looked past the track to the queue. I was in awe. It looked like the cue was empty. Indeed the cue for X-Flight was empty, as well as almost every other cue in the park.
James: It was amazing, two parks and almost every coaster was a walk-on. We arrived at SFWOA at about 1:30 and rode every coaster that was open.
Joe: Unfortunately, Double Loop was closed due to unknown conditions. However, we did ride the other nine coasters available. Almost every coaster was enjoyable. However, Mind Eraser Sucked. It is true to its name, a real head banger.
James: I agree. Superman was cool though. I don’t know why so many people compare Wicked Twisters back twist to the holding break on Superman. It is almost like two different rides. I like both.
Joe: Anyway, we finished all the available coasters at SFWOA by 4:30 and ran into Beastnum1 in the queue for Villain. I loved being so close to the track on B:KF, but those interlocking corkscrews need to go. Anyway…. In a discussion with James on what to do next we joked about going to Kennywood or back to Cedar Point. We originally thought CP was open until 7:00 and since it was on the way home, we decided to stop back there.
The guys were wrong. Cedar Point was open until 10:00 on memorial day.
Joe: I was looking at the map when we figured the time difference out. We then realized we could actually ride every coaster at CP. We had already rode every coaster we could at SFWOA. It was amazing that this possibility had arose.
James: Yeah, amazing… (note Sarcasm)
Joe: Shut up.
James: Anyway, we traveled back to CP and immediately headed for Raptor, which was about a 25 minute wait. However, we got held at the mid-course holding break for almost 15 minutes. I am not sure what the problem was, but we got the typical CP “we are sorry about the inconvenience, we are doing all we can to solve the situation…” speech from a ride-op who came to visit up out there.
Joe: I was really hoping for a walk-down, but it did not happen. After Raptor, we headed for Blue Streak. Blue streak was great today. We both had a lot of airtime, and the guy in front of us managed to stand up the entire ride.
James: Yeah. I wish I could have done that. Then we headed over to the Disaster Transport (the sign was fixed. It’s now “High Voltage”). I like the new theming.
Joe: Whatever. Bring back the old theming.
James: Shut up.
Joe: Whatever. We then jumped over to Wicked Twister for a lap in the back seat. I’m glad we got back seat. I’ve been waiting for a ride in that seat since everyone has been raving about it. From there, it was off to Magnum for a lap in the back seat.
James: I liked that back seat ride. Since I usually sit in the front, it was a nice change of pace.
Joe: See. I know what’s up.
James: Shut up.
Joe: After Maggie, we went over to the CCMR again (making for the second time today) hoping for a solo ride. No dice.
James: Yeah, sucks, doesn’t it? Then we went over to Wildcat for a nice ride. I was really impressed with it.
Joe: As was I. I don’t think I’ve ridden it in eight years.
James: Wow. Well, that was the last coaster we had to hit. We hit all 14 of the 15 coasters we could at CP and all the running coasters we could at SFWOA. It was now time for a drink at the Red Garter Saloon.
Joe: Wow. 11.5 hours, 23 coasters… including driving time. The last thing to do was finish out the day on the same coaster we started with: Millennium Force.
James: That was probably the best time I’ve ever ridden Millie. Back seat and at night. I was hoping that the lights would be killed on the lift hill, so we started a chant of “no lights” but it didn’t work. I did notice one op talk to the control op and ask if they could do it. The control op looked over at another op checking restraints and that guy signaled no.
Joe: That guy. *shakes head*
James: What a rush to be pulled over that hill at night.
Joe: See, I know what is up.
James: Shut up.
Joe: Whatever.
James: What a blast. Looks like we don’t have to attempt this at Coastermania now.
Joe: You’re right… But we never did ride Double Loop.
James: Doh. Maybe then.
Joe: We will have to wait and see.

There were some other inconsistencies too. I think Joe and I's quotes got switched at times.
Anway, one thing we forgot to mention was that while we were running back to Millie at the begininng of the day I noticed a guy puking over by Iron Dragon... Funny thing, the looked just like *cough* joe?
That was our day. How was yours?
