Cp and PKI

I am planning a trip to CP for the 1st time this august. I was wondering the feasability of also cruising down to PKI? I will be in CP on a wed, thur, fri and wanted to know if it is feasible to go to PKI on Fri and be able to get all the coasters. What will the lines be like in the middle of august?? Is this a good idea, can i get everything done in CP on 2 days?? What do you think. I have never been to CP so i want to experience as much as i can.
You do need two full days to truly experience all that CP has to offer...Especially if you're going in August. The drive from Sandusky to PKI takes about 3.5-4.5 hours (depending on how heavy your right foot is) ;)

Another option is to go to SFWoA instead of PKI which is just an hour away from CP...

Maybe this should be destined for "Suggestions for Coasterbuzz" but how about a link on the main page to a Coasterbuzz-sanctioned general answer to questions like this? It seems to come up a lot and rather than have a topic that degrades into some sort of vs. topic long after the original poster has gotten the info they want, how about just a "it takes this long with traffic and such between the two parks, worst lines are now and now, etc etc.". Do like CP/PKI, BGT/IoA, etc. - all the parks that are close enough together that some might consider driving between the two in a day. Just an idea ...

Well in the summer i tend to go to PKI on Fridays and you would think they are Mondays so I would say go for it.

I would spend two days at Cedar Point, and one at PKI. If you have time, two days at PKI would be nice, but not completely necessary. Also, stick with the weekdays. Weekends can be insane, especially in August. The best time to go is early June, before the kiddies are off for summer break, but the parks are open normal hours (10:00 to 10:00) on weekdays.

I suggested an entirely separate forum for "help" questions, a while ago. Jeff "filed it away"(in the circular?) Anyway, you'll probably want to bring it up in Suggestions instead of here.

When in August are you planning to go? We've found out the hard way that in late August PKI maybe closed during the week and only open Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. I haven't checked their schedule for this year yet, but I would highly recommend that you do so.

If you do go to PKI, you will want to start in Hanna-Barbera land or Rivertown and work your way around towards Action Zone.
