CP and MIA for the first time ?

Ok i know there have been many of these but i just wanted to make one lol. Any way we are leaving for CP Monday moring from chicago I think its like a 5 hour drive.I hope to get to CP in the late afternoon. Get my Season Pass then ride coasters all night long.We are staying at the breakers express. Then on Tuesday I get a Full day at Cedar Point open to close. Then on Wednesday I am gonna get like half a day cause then we are leaving to go to my cottage in Paw Paw michigan for the fourth of July. Then i go on like the 5th or the 6th to MIA

How are weekdays at CP are they really busy or are theyjust like anyother park during the week its not too busy? Would it be smart to go to the back entrace by the Water park? Will about 2 full days be enough time to get all 16 credits? wait can you get 2 freeways perday or just 1? when should i get to the park to do the SUPERMAD DASH lol?

AT MIA do they have a freeway pass system?

Thank you for helping me with questions about CP/ MIA do you have anyother tips for me that would be helpful?

ok.....to me the best day to go ot cedar point ever is on a sunday i was just there last sunday and raptor was walk on magnum was...well every ride was walk on but millenium force and mantis and ttd was closed. you have a beter chance of ttd opening on sun then on weekdays too....on weekdays the worst day in my opinion is on tuesdays they are overcrowded and so are wed and fridays mondays and thursdays arent too bad but they arent as goos as a sunday

and that is my opinion

o and when u get a season pass i suggest getting a joe cool pass too 4 discounts on food games and a half an hour earlier entrance to the park 4 only 15 dollars well worth it, and get a ttd jug for 10 dollars bc u get free refills on it 4 the rest of the year it is worth it

and if you are goin to millenium force in the morning go to the side entrance by wildcat and by raptors cobra roll it is right by milleniums entrance....:)

there u go pz out

To me Cedar point seems unpredictable, I have a season pass and try to go atleast once a week, I have noticed that anyday can be either dead or real packed, but as for the lines to hit all 16 coasters, well actually 2 of them are kiddie coasters so that will leave you with 14, as for the lines, corkscrew is at most a 10 minute wait if there is a wait at all, cedar creek mine ride is never long either, disaster trans is usually less than a half hour, as for raptor, mantis, and millenium force the lines can get long but usually no more than two hours, so I would get the freeway passes for them, you can get two per day, but if you get one that has an early boarding time you can try to wash it off after you ride then try to get another one if they havent all been given out, but get the millenium one first they run out the fastest, wicked twister lines havent been more than an hour so far as I can see, magnum is usually less than an hour also(back seat is very rough, go towards the front, the blue streak lines are generally short but last time i was there they were about 1/2 hr to an hr and for me its not worth the wait, as for TTD, good luck on wether its running or not. Gemini usually has short lines but sometimes they get long, that also goes for the mean streak, Basically get your Millenium freeway first, then id try for either raptor or mantis, but as far as riding you should be able to hit up all the coaster in a day or two. But I honestly wouldnt waist your time on bluestreak, corkscrew, cedar creek mine ride, I would save Mean Streak and Gemini for last also, there no big deal if you dont get on them, but I would save disaster transport for the hottest part of the day since the line is air conditioned. As far as the best days, its a toss up, Ive been there on fridays and saturdays in july and the parks been dead, with 1/2 waits for Millenium, and Ive been there on sundays and mondays where the lines are in excess of 2+ hours, As far as making a mad dash to the freeway stamps, I think as long as you get there early there shouldnt be a problem, for the most part people think you have to pay for them or that there restricted as to who can get them, Every time I enter the line at the freeway point there are atleast 10 people pissed off and asking how the heck did ya get that. But you do have to ride Millenium as many times as possible the front and back seats are the best, and you have to ride it at night and during the day. The only problem is that on most coasters you cant leave anything on the loading platform such as bags cups or bottles of water, except wicked twister and raptor you can leave sandals there, they make you get a locker., Also if your in the area SFWOA is about and hour east, they have 10 more coasters to add to your credit, althought I hate the park and it is another SF dump and I only go there when I have free tix, a few of the coasters are decent.
THanks sooo much. I already kinda know what iam gonna do from those posts thanks. I cant wait . I just hope its not tooooo busy. But parks are pretty unpredictable so well see thanks again.

Mantis' throughput tends to be much lower than Raptor's; if you can only freeway one of them, Mantis is the one to get. Raptor's line is often quite short in the early-to-mid afternoon, just past lunch.

GTTP has an informative article on how to hit them all. It's a bit out of date (no mention of freeway, pre-TTD), but still very useful.

No one answered the MiA question yet. If you are going to be at CP for a couple of days and plan to hit MiA, a season pass could be a good deal as it will get you into MiA as well.

Regardless, MiA has no NEED of a Freeway system. You should be able to do the entire park in half a day if you don't do the water park. But since the waterpark is included, I would definitely go for it.

You can do MIA in about 2 hours. This park needs alot of work. ST is awesome though. :)

JOE COOL!LOL
But i would use a freeway on mantis before Raptor because last sunday there was a 45 min wait on mantis and not even a wait on Raptor and besides Raptors line moves quicker if there is one anyways.
What is MiA MIchigan _____ Adventure? I have never heard of it before.
Yeah MIA is Michigans Adventure. Yeah i am getting a Cedar Fair season pass I am hoping to go to CEDAR POINT later in the season too.And also going to Valley Fair later aswell. And if i get out to California maybe Knotts lol. But that maybe wishful thinking. Thanks agian.

HolyDumb: I assume you've realized it, but MiA's opening time is fairly late, at 11 AM, so you'll probably want to drive up in the morning. The waterpark soaks up a lot of the crowds, so its generally fairly easy to get on the coasters.

Why3289: MiA = [Mi]chigan [A]dventure (or MI as in the abbreviation for Michigan).

thats cool. I dont even wanna go to the waterpark i just want Coasters lol.

HolyDum,

Then you will miss a lot. The water park may even be a bigger draw that Timbers and the other minor Coasters.

The water park is a plus, don't miss it.
