EDIT: it was 9/19* not 9/20..

Im gonna make it short and get to the good stuff...

Got to the park a little after 6pm with JulieSFO, parked behind the park (btw - saw Jeff, magnumdan, and couple other people entering park)... Went right to dragster after buying ticket to find it closed due to weather, along with MF, and a handful of rides.. So went on wildcat which was a great time, and did a haunted house while going around the circle to Dragster. On the way back to TTD, we heard the brakes drop so we ran in the line, and for about an hour they ran trains, experiancing many many rollbacks to get it warmed up, and finally opened the ride. We were about 6 trains away from front, and it took another hour while they sent trains out with people, that kept rolling back. The first riders rolled back FOUR times... If only.. My friend and I wanted a rollback so much, but we figured by the time we got on, it would be warmed up and not rollback.. So after that hour watching trains relaunch over and over, we sat down in the front row, out the station, and this is where the fun began...

We locked onto the cable, the christmas tree lit up, heard the sit back, hands down spiel, and then... *lights out* The chirstmas tree went out, and the engine rev's stopped, and nothing happened.. Suddenly the train start moving forward with these little pulls on and off, then it stopped, we rolled back slowly into the launch part (like how it locks on cable), and stopped again. It happened one more time before they came out and said they were going to restart the ride and stuff.. But while we were waiting everyone was hoping for a rollback, so it got our anticipation up, but we knew our luck it would never happen. So about 20mins later, we roll back, move forward, lock on, the tree is lit, lights go down and VROOOM!

We climb up the hill, go over the top, but then we slowed down and down... All of a sudden we stop at the top for a second or two, thinking were going over when we kick in reverse, and back down be go.. Its so awesome going down that thing backwards!! We were cheering and the feeling was just so.. unexplainable.. It was AMAZING. The best ride of our lives!..We hit the brakes, slow down to crawl, and when the brakes should go up and down, they did nothing..up Just stayed and we crawled back into the launch area. Once we stopped, we sat there for about 20mins while they told us we were going to go again, the train cheered and whatnot, and so we rolled back into the station while two people got off (they only had 8 people per train due to the weight or something all night, but went up to 10 later on) So they rechecked the harnesses and went out to to the launch area again, lights went down, vrooom we were gone!!! Nothing like two straight rides on Dragster in the front seat, at night, have a rollback, and being on the ride for 45mins while they fixed it ^_^ So it was a wild time.. The second time we flew over and the rest of the night the trains seemed to fly over the top. We got back in line 10mins before line closed and got one more ride in the back row (4-1)?? at the time... And had an amazing closing ride.. But the rollback was a perfect way to make a day that started out bad to an amazing end!

Lucky you! When you rollback do you really get to the top right near where iit turns down? My two rides sadly went over.....

Yea, our rollback was at the verge of going both ways.. In the front, we were angled down a little, and for sure we thought we were going down, but nope, it stopped for a second or two, then started to go backwards.. But It was really close to going over.. Luckily it didn't!

I think last night took the record for most roll backs in an evening...I did notice that by the end of the night, the train would either roll back or go faster over the top than I've ever seen it go before. I bet the airtime was pretty nice on the ones that made it over.

Yea.. After our ride though, it seemed to be like the last of the rollbacks.. It was weird.. Because after us, I think I saw one or maybe two more rollbacks, then they got the trains going good, going out in pairs and whatnot, going clear over pretty quick.. But from when I went couple months ago, it didn't seem like was going too fast. But they DID have to launch the trains at like 123-125 to get it over, which was pretty funny ;)
